This is what happens when you have a candidate who is a former hip-hop artist. Well versed in the art of burying adversaries.
Zohran Mamdani quoting Mario Cuomo in his acceptance speech is nasty work and I love it. The Sicilian in me bows to his killer instinct.

LOCAL ELECTION RESULT:

Let me congratulate @zysaidso.bsky.social for her election to the Charlottesville School Board.

For those wondering: Zyahna Bryant was a student organizer who led the successful fight in removing two confederate statues from downtown Charlottesville.

An image that will forever be etched into my memory. An immigrant family. An Ugandan-Indian-Syrian interracial family. A Muslim & Hindu interfaith family. A progressive, insanely accomplished and brilliant family.

Young people in NYC absolutely showed out and there should be 1000 articles and profiles about this. Because we have had to put up with 1000 MAGA diner stories for years now.

I took part in a small town protest today in very very red rural Missouri. Initially, a few days ago 43 people were "going". Turned out to be 640 of us in a tiny town square! I was beyond exhilarated.
Take note of all these people turning out for protests in small towns in red states.

Remember them the next time you’re inclined to write an area off because “they voted for this.”
