Today the situation is much worse than during the protests and live gunfire in #Iran
Thousands of prisoners are being held in secret bunkers in a humanitarian crisis and are being executed in groups without anyone being informed
The UN Human Rights Council must take action
More on the horror of Iran's violent repression of pro-democracy protests. Protestors abducted. Thousands, possibly tens of thousands, gunned down. Hospitals overwhelmed, even as most wounded avoided hospitals due to government reprisals. And liar Trump said "help was on the way"...

I believe strongly in EUs drive for tech independence & more FOSS also in hardware & an EU OS.

How is EU going to create true strategic independence in tech & a #EuroStack when the project has now chosen a distro that is basically IBM Fedora Linux?

IBM is a US 270bn$ net worth behemoth

Agree. We should not consider Turkey an ally.
We needed them during the Cold War, for their large army & a good place for nukes.
But Russia today is not the USSR, and we don't need Turkey, as RU & Ukraine today can beat Russia.
Turkey has deteriorated in freedom & democracy.

More than 60% of 🇮🇹 support making EU into a federation. This is what we need to respond to the new reality of a return to global power competition. A multi-tier EU w federal core & army.
The problem is not EUropean people, but national politicians who will lose power, so they veto it.

Europe does not need a double-hatted Superpresident, as proposed by Manfred Weber. A presidential system is alien to Europe. Instead we need a fully fledged parliamentary democracy, with full accountability and checks and balances. My blog:

My long COVID symptoms have lasted for more than six years now. I do not believe I will ever get well, since there are no treatments or cures available.

My infection was so mild that it didn't even cross my mind to see the doctor. The acute illness phase lasted for six weeks, but it was mild.
Long-COVID symptoms persist for years in nonhospitalized adults, study reveals

Study of 130 non-hospitalised Long COVID adults in Sweden found that at 2.5 years ~50% had severe dyspnea and depression, and 42% had impaired lower-body strength on testing at clinic.

Despite 20,000 sick Palestinians waiting to leave Gaza for medical treatment, only around 50 will be permitted to leave each day. No aid will be allowed through to Gaza. No foreign journalists will be allowed in either.

Japan has not been able to change the economic growth, and EU, despite the low unemployment, does not seem to be able either. Hence we either face Japans shrinking economy over decades, or we can open for immigration. The latter part is what Spain has done, and Spains economy is one of the best.
Eurozone unemployment has never been lower. That’s partially good news, partially a sign of aging societies not being able to replace retiring Baby Boomers.

Retirements > entrants. Youth cohorts are smaller - that explains falling youth unemployment figures. Migration helps, but not enough.
