When Sen. Britt voted to grant an extra $75 billion to DHS, ICE had already invaded Los Angeles, started racial profiling, and announced that it would no longer recognize church sanctuary rights. It had begun developing the Alligator Alcatraz concentration camp. She knew who they were.

So...this seems to be the President agreeing that he suffers from narcissistic personality disorder, for whom a public defeat like 2020 would cause so much distress that it would be unbearable. Which might motivate him to deny the loss, break laws, and attempt the assassination of his VP.

I'm asking those in the media sphere to not just see this is as "bad media strategy" but instead it's what we've seen in competitive authoritarian regimes.
The goal isn't to make the outlet more competitive nor is it a misguided attempt at improving it.

Also, may I say that I don’t agree with people saying ICE and CBP need “more training.” They’re doing exactly what this administration has trained them to—impose a reign of fear in blue cities. They don’t need more training. They need to be ripped up root and branch.
