I fully understand how difficult it is to remain focused on any one particular atrocity but this really ought to be a serious scandal and people need to pay heavy prices for this
I think the Trump admin assumed no one would try to find out who the people on the boats they blew up really were

Since I published this, several people have gotten in touch and said they've also faced retaliation in their workplaces for showing solidarity with Palestinians, or they are worried they will, or they know someone who has. www.thenation.com/article/soci...
Bosses Are Retaliating Against Workers for Showing Solidarity With Palestinians
Workers are losing their jobs and professional opportunities for expressing pro-Palestinian sentiment. Others are choosing to self-censor amid a climate of fear.

Suprise: unwashed fascist ghoul Matthew Walther - who wrote a column that the New York Times just published advising Americans not to vote - did in fact vote in 2020 and 2022.

It’s time for us to stop tolerating these ratfucking liars.

This kind of thing should be illegal. Anduril, a company run by a Peter Thiel consigliere, which only exists at the mercy of Thiel’s money, can announce that it’s worth $12.5 billion, a number Thiel himself essentially pulled out of a hat to bolster his investments:

Guy waited five years and paid $102k for a Cybertruck, crashed it after four hours of driving, only for Tesla to tell him that "the accelerator may not disengage under braking" and that it will take $30k and one year to repair.

Truly an L of historical proportions.

43 years behind bars for a crime she didn’t commit. This story makes me feel the same kind of cold horror I felt after reading The Jaunt.
"They alleged in a petition seeking her exoneration that authorities ignored Hemme’s “wildly contradictory” statements and suppressed evidence implicating Michael Holman, a then-police officer who tried to use the slain woman’s credit card." www.huffpost.com/entry/womans...

It's not harmless. It's not "just an innocent thing" to be fooled by AI. You NEED to be able to discern and differentiate reality. You NEED to know how the world works on a basic level.

Because fooling you with baby animals and flowers is just the start of something much worse.

He’s right but also this gifted my brain with the very funny image of Theoden King tossing Hillary down a flight of stairs like a sack of potatoes
Seeing Hillary still out there endorsing bad primary candidates trying to take out leftists doesn’t even make me sad it’s like when Wormtongue is trying to boss around Hobbits

Cops.

Hochul’s move is meant to be a handout to the police.
Prepping for a quick episode on the latest congestion pricing news and this bit from Governor Hochul's announcement is enraging. 99% of the people Hochul is talking about here — "teachers, first responders, small business workers, bodega owners — DO NOT DRIVE INTO MANHATTAN.

The ironic thing is that none of these AI midwits would *ever* actually use an AI program to diagnose a medical condition. They have the money and resources to see a real doctor and receive treatment. The thought wouldn’t even cross their minds.

AI is for the poor to impale themselves on.
It’s happening again.
