Justice will come, though I may not live to see it. Justice will come, because I - we, together - are helping build a world for her. I believe in the Utopia I will never see, & in the future defenders of her.

The first assistant Chris Rufo hired in 2021 was a Pepe the frog loving fan of “groyper mom” Michelle Malkin. That guy worked for him for 3+ years before going to work for Russell Vought in the Trump administration last year. So Rufo can miss me with the “I’m shocked by Fuentes’s popularity.”

“I don’t want to be in this place I want to go to my school.”

- 7 year old imprisoned by ICE for 70 days in a concentration camp in Texas.

Today, after @propublica.org published this story, the camp was raided to confiscate letters from the children.

Imagine doing this with your one precious life. Other people are out there teaching children and curing cancer and you decide to spend your time telling outrageous, laughably unbelievable lies about a dementia-addled rapist and fraud whose legacy will be nearly ending US democracy
Leavitt: "I think it's frankly ridiculous that anyone in this room would even suggest that President Trump is doing anything for his own benefit. He left a life of luxury and a life of running a very successful real estate empire for public service."

And, “offensive to Jews” is really insidious, right-wing coded language. Implying that acts of bigotry are only really the concern of the people targeted by the specific act or language.

People talk about this stuff in terms of how much it'll suck for gaming and I hate to inform you how many MRI machines, X-Rays, all sorts of other vital machinery are just a Windows IoT Edition PC in a beige plastic box with a big magnet/accelerator/whatever attached.

GEO Group also provides guards for ICE flights and buses between ICE flights and detention centers.

If and when we get to the justice and accountability stage, don't forget the contractors.
The Dept. of War started announcing WEXMAC TITUS awardees in September, and the most recent list dropped on Friday.

One new vendor is GEO Group, the private prison company that already runs some of ICE's most brutal prisons. CoreCivic, another private prison group, was an earlier awardee.
For ICE to build concentration camps quickly, they're leaning on this Dept. of War program

Let me tell you what happens when they can’t manufacture enough parts for critical medical equipment: the companies will exit making that equipment and your insurance company will say “too bad, do your best to keep it working”.

Phillips did this with pediatric ventilators.
Everybody’s talking about the destruction of consumer electronics and that’s bad, but basically everything in modern life has a computer in it. Hospitals, airports, transportation, shipping, medical devices, farm equipment, and point of sale terminals had a good run
“.. ‘many system vendors will go bankrupt or exit product lines due to a lack of memory. Mobile phone production will be reduced by 200-250 million units, and PC and TV production will be significantly reduced.’ Yikes.”

lol, it’s a lot easier to form a tenants union when everyone in the building is in the same group chat
MAJOR: Twin Cities Tenants joins five labor unions, together repping 25,900 members, to launch a rent strike drive, vowing to withhold rent March 1 if @governorwalz.mn.gov fails to deliver an eviction moratorium and rent relief. If launched, this would be the largest US rent strike in 100+ years.

I keep thinking about Executive Order 9066 - Japanese (and Okinawan) Interment. The *hundreds of millions* - likely several billion in 2026 dollars - in property that was seized by the government, stolen by neighbors, damaged, looted, taken over, stolen from Japanese Americans & immigrants.
This is only a small aspect of the horror, but I doubt that the $190 on the commissary account plus whatever possessions they managed to bring into Dilley were all this family owned. What is happening to the money and possessions of deported immigrants?

So they drove a 2 mo old baby to the brink of death and then deported him as quickly as possible so Kristi Noem & DHS doesn’t get blowback if the child’s health worsens. Reminds me of what North Korea did to Otto Waimbier under Trump 1.0.
