it’s kind of silly but error messages like these always make me a little sad. seeing deactivated services and dead links and the like. why must things die…..

two evils of the world:
the 30 second tiktok that explains too much to the point of overwhelming you

the 4 hour video essay that says fucking nothing

Yes, MD3 doesn't have vertex wobble. The best thing about it though is that it allows us to show BIBLICALLY ACCURATE QBJ3 WEAPONS

my biggest issue with it becoming so widespread is that there's a lot of people playing with these themes that don't understand the underlying politics so it just becomes a disneyfied gopnik-land of pure aesthetics without any real ideological backbone, or at worst an explicitly conservative version

bluesky exclusive, I'm in my OWR break rn and got too nostalgic of this project so I tried making a crude N64-esque test just for fun
spent maybe a collective 2 hours on this lol, I could improve it but we'll see what happens

brutalism and similar styles make for extremely gorgeous ruins so there's this sort of hyperabundance of "ah look at this *failed movement*" photos despite the fact that pizza huts close down all the time and become ruins and no one's waxing poetic about them.

This is the unfortunate fallout of "just kitbash levels from pieces made by 3D artists, yes even the graybox... you want what? something unique? no no no, it's gotta be used at least X times before they make it, otherwise it's not an efficient use of our money" driven development... and it sucks.
it's unbelievable that there aren't decent 3D level editors in active development.
you'd be hard-pressed to find a more high-impact, highly-historically-explored, yet under-served problem space in gamedev tooling today

The old Double Dragon movie is very silly and has lots of completely dumb stuff, but my personal favorite is the official police record for Abobo. Imagining a cop pulling this up and getting the animations and sounds is just incredible.

People will, but I can't imagine getting excited for HL3 at this point. The thrilling conclusion to an story that never had any plans, or answers, like a JJ Abrams story, held up by a type of innovation that does not happen anymore, made by a company who now only seems to make games on accident.

found a cool video 8 camcorder, but the batteries are dead and there's no charger :(
there's a thingy that lets you replace the battery with a direct line to the charger, but it requires... the charger :(
