Yeah its like, Stranger of Paradise is obviously poking and prodding at various things ingrained in the series, but I really hate how often the assessment is "joke game" when I actually kinda think it enhances a lot of elements of FF1 in particular
oh yeah no I've seen so many people unable to let go of "this is the tommy wisaeu final fantasy game" or "they're doing it on purpose it's a joke game it's making fun of itself"
you'd think it's just stay to weird drive by posting, but then I watched people try to crowbar the Stranger of Paradise they actually ended up playing into the Stranger of Paradise they made up in their heads months ago and just could not understand the level of "cant admit I'm wrong" on display
