i hate this street
really happy i went to community college because if anyone wants to go where i went i can just tell them ok send them money and you can start in the fall
Did four early decision interviews for my alma mater in November. As usual, none admitted. Three denied, one deferred. I think in the last five-six years of doing these I've had one interviewee accepted. And every year there are a huge number of kids that would be GREAT. The numbers are just brutal.

thank you for your service grumpy Linux man
I was one of these guys and what I watched happen was that a handful of tech companies took the work of all those free software evangelists and built trillion dollar monopolies on top of it while the free software creators got nothing and went broke.

I've often wondered how you would come up with this scenario and I think the answer is they actually hold Manila and become wildly lionized by an early war media looking for big wins. Then they end up with the ICBMs etc etc.
unironically bring back the coast artillery

these are absolutely the true cultural peers of Batman Forever and now that we have so much more variety of batman in the world there's even more room for surge batman
ehhhh idk this movie feels appropriately contemporaneous with mortal kombat and surge

I ran up a $300 tab at the Newark airport Chili's and was hungover within an hour, best time and money I ever spent in my life
This is stupid, you get sweaty at the airport drinking at Chili's Too and hearing insane stories from other frequent fliers like a normal person
Duffy on what he's doing to improve the airport experience for travelers: "Maybe I want a workout area where people might get some blood flowing doing some pull ups or step ups in the airport."

suburbia is a term so broad as to be meaningless and i think the good suburbia has been murdered in the last 30ish years by the modern landscape of congested hellstroads and endless cheek to jowl pure residential development
Right, this is true, but the OVERWHELMING evidence of the past 100 years of American life is that vastly more people want space and a car than a smaller unit and a car-free lifestyle. This is mostly why the suburban share of US population has grown relentlessly for the entire 20th and 21st century
Some people put a premium on space in my experience, others put a premium on not having to have a car and not being isolated out in the suburbs
