He/him. Covers the Doctor Who theme a lot. Writes stuff no sane person would want to read. Will finish a project one of these days. PS Fuck the Tories.

I feel like America plotting to annex Greenland while masked state goons terrorise their own communities at will should encourage British press and politicians to reflect on what happens when you act like "far right" is an unfair slur rather than a necessary descriptor of a real political position.

It's also stupid of the government to run scared of Musk for fear of him targeting the UK.

He's already been openly doing that, on the same platform they're all still using.

Ban X, and close all loopholes on foreign donations to political parties.
Elon Musk, 2025: "I really think that there’s got to be a change of government in Britain... Violence is coming, You either fight back or you die"

Musk, 2024: "civil war is inevitable" and Britain is "a tyrannical police state"

Our entire political class, still posting on X:

While some high-profile artists have been privately supportive, none have spoken out. I get it. Who wants to lose their job over a stranger? But you can bet your ass if I was a man it would be a different story.

I’m not certain that - given the disastrous situation that has directly resulted from these people getting 96% of what they demanded - giving them 100% of it is likely to improve matters.

It’s very awkward, because Trump is demonstrating that British support for almost anything America does - once presented as optional, done by democratic consent - is plainly mandatory and non-negotiable, no matter what they’re doing. Which casts at least our recent history in a different light.

Perhaps an obvious point, but beyond a certain level of wealth, these numbers become meaningless. Those eight billionaires are mostly wielding political capital at this point; the bank balances are irrelevant. What this is a record of is therefore only what they *took* from everyone else.
"What a year for the ultra wealthy. The world’s 500 richest people added a record $2.2 trillion to their collective fortunes in 2025’s… booming markets, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index. And about a quarter of this year’s gains went to just eight billionaires.” — Bloomberg Morning Brief

The average professional artist (and I’m talking getting paid literally anything for their art) has a skill set that is rarer, harder to do, and that takes longer to master than any middle management type you’ve ever met, but those do-nothing dipshits can make six figures with no one getting upset.
"You shouldn't make art for the money" buddy I'll take it one step further and say we shouldn't have to labor for capital at all but in the meantime pay an artist

So Labour want to control our sugar consumption, our internet use, our right to protest, who can play sport, and who gets to use which toilet - but asking people to exercise basic germ control is a bridge too far?

The problem with the BBC being the nation’s finest engine for soft power, is that people have realised that they can easily exert hard, nasty, cruel power on it, and bend it out of shape.

Empathy, curiosity and compassion shouldn’t be problematic qualities that need silencing. Seems they are now.
Very sad that I felt I had no choice but to resign from The Infinite Monkey Cage - a victory for the transphobes and other bigots - I did it because so much of the media has chosen to believe the kind and empathetic people are a fiction - they are real and so often unrepresented.

When it comes to rights of free expression, some insist the biggest is the right to point, and sneer, to marginalise and other. Otherwise, what? They’d have to hold it in? The right to let their knee jerk wildly on instinct. The right to express a ‘common sense’ view that hurts people. Fuck that.

I hear a long-awaited Doctor Who soundtrack album's out today? That's right, it's the score to last night's barnstormer installment of Doctor Who: Red Twilight!

Oh and apparently series 10's out too.

In 2011 I was playing piano and singing background music for a wedding that was filmed for some show on UK Living. I did one song and the producer came over and asked me "not to play any more depressing songs like that..."

The song was Louis Armstrong's What A Wonderful World.

Nobody voted for any of this shit, you understand, just as they didn’t vote for the relentless crackdowns or PFI or more new peers. We are getting this regardless, because this stuff is what *our horrific political/media class* wants, and they treat democracy as their license to do as they please.
