Today in (US) health insurance: insurance denies our claim for my cataract surgery, saying we did no prior authorization (untrue).
Called my surgeon's office; they're looking into it. NB: I remember paying based on what the insurance company said the week before the surgery in December.

i think it is ok to reiterate that the victim as a us citizen. yes, noncitizens are equally entitled to human rights. but also, it's important to illustrate how ice isn't about immigration at all

I know it’s just because they hadn’t worked the Vulcan lore out by the pilot but god there’s no better joke in all of Star Trek than Spock saying “one of my ancestors married a human woman” and then a season and a half later you learn he literally means his parents
the REAL lesson of that episode, of course, and the funniest running thread of Spock’s entire life, is “do not disclose the existence of a SINGLE family member without a fight” 😂
