For some reason I have twice been reminded over the past week of the classic 90s artefact of UK cinema 'Preaching To The Perverted', which features a moral panic about fetishistic practice, LOTS of scenes shot in Torture Garden and this superb techno OST

This is both a top-quality bit of nostalgia and, potentially, a gateway drug for a particular type of young person

Regardless of your personal interest in a self-described 'minor internet novelty songmaker', Kunt's autobiography is honestly one of the funniest books I have ever read, ever (I really am not exaggerating here), as well as being a gently-inspirational story about making art because you love it. BUY!
I'm doing one last run of Kunt and the Gang 25th Anniversary tour merch.

Flesh really is a superb novel; if you'd like a taster, this is an excerpt published in Granta earlier this year - not exactly the same as the passage in the book, but very much gives the flavour (and also contains a huge, crippling OOF at the end) granta.com/flesh/

I am not 100% certain that the people organising this event quite understand the vibe its name gives off, particularly when they are dropping flyers around Vauxhall

It's Saturday - you could, it's true, go outside, but then you run the risk of having your day ruined by seeing terrible street 'art' like this, whereas if you just stay in and click this link you will instead enter a MAGICAL PORTAL OF WEBBY DELIGHTS. A simple choice: webcurios.co.uk/webcurios-07...

Slightly amazed that the Sky News piece on how X is set up to promote right-wing viewpoints is being hailed as 'revelatory' or 'shocking' or indeed in any way surprising. HAVE YOU NOT BEEN FUCKING PAYING ATTENTION (or, er, reading Private Eye)?

This weekend, the first AI-generated song (ish - the words here are written by a real person) debuted on the Billboard charts in the US (ok, the R&B specific segment, but still). Not my preferred genre, admittedly, but I would struggle to peg this as machine music
