The public made noise for Liam Ramos and it got him released from Dilley.

Now we must make noise for 7 year old Diana Crespo.

Her parents were taking her for emergency medical care when ICE grabbed them, and she’s rotting in the camp sick and exposed to measles.

Get them out!

Viv (the terrible hunter) came down like 15 min after I went downstairs, so I have no idea if there's a mouse-sacre in my bedroom or if there's a mouse hiding in my laundry.

My cat once again deposited a live mouse in my room at 1:15 am. It was injured, but managed to scoot into my dirty laundry on the floor and then she lost it. 🙃 I went downstairs to try and sleep on the couch but I've just been adrenaline alert and uncomfortable the whole time.

Even if they didn't pay more in taxes, even if they were a complete negative on the country's budget, we should have open fucking borders. We should embrace the ideals of "Give us your tired, your poor, and your hungry."

Not saying that that's ever been true, just that it should be.
The US immigrant population generated more in taxes than they received in benefits from all levels of government every year from 1994 to 2023.

The Cato study provides the first-ever 30-year analysis of the fiscal effects of immigration on government budgets.

The thing is, it’s not just a drop in the bucket and it hasn’t been just a drop in the bucket.

Every small step we take, even incremental, to support our neighbors in the most local sense adds up in powerful ways.

Do not let perfection diminish the impact.

Shop *more* locally than you had.
It feels like a drop in the bucket, but I really am committing to a "shop local" mode of consumption. Thank goodness for the co-ops in this city.

“It’s just weird to see a toddler in a pink onesie getting their eyes washed out from tear gas, you know?”
New — I spoke to eight people who were present at the ICE protest on Saturday in Portland, Oregon when federal agents deployed tear gas and rubber bullets into a crowd of families, children, elderly and disabled people, and their pets.

These are their stories:

While the 3.5% rule is correlative not causative (ladylibertie.substack.com/p/the-35-rul... explains it better than I), it puts the 38% of people in the MN strike in fantastic perspective.

We need 12 million of us protesting all year. Making good trouble, disrupting the system. We've got this.

Every man who insists women have "expiration dates" is a man you shouldn't be surprised when he rapes a child or sympathizes with/admires men who do. You cannot hold such a view of adult women & simultaneously reject men's predation of youth.
Men have been saying women hit a wall at 25 for a while now & instead of recognizing men's fetishization of youth as pedophilic adjacent, we pretend Epstein was an exception. Insisting men who rape 15yos wouldn't rape 12yos or 20yos has protected predators.

And Pablos Holman saying "I'm all for indoctrinating kids into an economy." 🤮

Bet search engines are scrubbed of his name associated with Epstein.
“Notorious pedophile Jeffrey Epstein played a role in convincing Bobby Kotick to embrace loot boxes, essentially gambling for children” what is this sentence, what is this world

1/ Immigration enforcement is impacting people’s health. It’s a public health issue.

ICE raids and deportations don’t only affect the people directly targeted. The health impacts ripple through families, schools, clinics, and entire communities.

Sometimes there’s nothing more antifascist than baby sitting and handing out snack bags, and that’s incredibly metal.
Opposing ICE happens at every scale and for every person and every risk tolerance. If you cannot patrol, can you donate to a grocery fund? Volunteer at a food bank? Support your neighbors who are patrolling, watch kids, take people to the doctor, hang a sign in your window? All of it is the fight
It's not just "stand up to ICE when you see them," it's building many vast networks of support and trust to
- create safe spaces
- protect schools
- get kids TO school
- check on neighbors
- deliver groceries
- help pay the rent
- let people know of danger
- feed the helpers, too!
- and on and on
