This is the facility where masked thugs put our neighbors, friends, and community members after they snatch them off the street. Please note that they are doing this to long-term residents, too. This is not targeted at criminals. They are grabbing tamale vendors, landscapers, preschool teachers.
A family friend was telling us about what her husband shared about his experience in Broadview before he was deported back to Mexico. She's been sharing to friends and family because she's just in disbelief & horror what her husband told her. She wasn't able to talk to him until he was in Mexico.

If ICE agents come onto my campus, or the campus of K-12 schools, I want the school to use active shooter protocols: lock them out, hide the kids and staff, and call the police to inform them of armed gunmen on campus.

So here's something hopeful: I have canvassed a billion times for political campaigns. Usually you get doors slammed in your face, get yelled at. When you phone bank, most of what happens is no answer or immediately people hang up. (1)

Pending before the court is Plaintiffs' Motion for a Temporary Restraining Order [Doc.
No. 3] seeking to enjoin, on an emergency basis, Defendants' November 1, 2025 suspension of benefits under the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program ("SNAP"). For the reasons stated
below, Plaintiffs have standing to bring this action and are likely to succeed on their claim that
Defendants' suspension of SNAP benefits is unlawful. Where that suspension of benefits rested
on an erroneous construction of the relevant statutory provisions, the court will allow Defendants
to consider whether they will authorize at least reduced SNAP benefits for November, and report
