We are so effed. And for this whiny nothing person. He only has power because they enable it.
I have been following politics for decades and the amount of sycophancy around Trump is so off the charts. I think there was some cultish stuff with Reagan, but nothing even close to this.

I know the way on the left is unconventional, but why, specifically, is it discouraged? Also, I saw zero seat logs here in Scotland, but I do on occasion back in the states. Maybe this should be standard signage in the US. At least in bars, arenas, and stadiums.

Visited Bon's statue in Kirriemuir. The show in Edinburgh was the main reason for coming, but this was a pretty cool bonus.

If you cannot muster empathy for the downtrodden, you are not human enough to warrant my time.

I don't care who runs in the general, it literally doesn't matter, because I will be voting for the Democrat in order to stop and defeat the Republican.

But I will vote for the best possible candidate in the primaries.

Because voting isn't once every 4 years. It's TWICE EVERY SINGLE YEAR. Show up!

All the people who've celebrated the "free market" my whole life have consistently given more and more control to people who say the believe in it, but love a rigged game.
I don't know who needs to hear this, but an economy controlled by a handful of oligarchs isn't a "free market."

Sad but true. Those with even a minimal level of decency left the agency a long time ago.
I love to show up every day for my job, which is standing around holding the front of my tactical vest and getting told to choke to death by thousands of passers-by while 11 of my coworkers handcuff a roofer on his way to work. Every night I drive 80 minutes home, thinking about nothing at all.

Any species lost is tragic, but when it happens in a very short time frame due to hunting, it seems slightly more tragic than when due to loss of habitat. The loss of habitat slightly more tragic than from climate change. Obvious and easily halted, but indifference prevails.

Today in history, 1883: The quagga, a subspecies of the plains zebra, becomes extinct when the last known individual dies in the Amsterdam zoo. Large herds of quagga once roamed the plains of their native South Africa until hunted ruthlessly by European colonists. /1

We live in a world where the same people who believe a man built a boat big enough for every animal don't believe in climate science because it’s “unproven.”

"Christians" in Congress ignoring Jesus's command to not pray in public (Matthew 6:5-7) to beseech permission to ignore Jesus's command to give to the poor (Matthew 19:21) with their hideous Big Ugly Bill.

These are not Christians. They are selfish scoundrels who only pretend to follow Jesus.

can't form a very coherent thesis about this but i was thinking this morning about why the right so successfully permeates mainstream culture while the left feels more distant, and i was thinking that it's because punching down doesn't require you to understand your target, but punching up does

People who think a decorative necklace is putting on the “armor of God.” Obviously, they have no clue what the Bible says about pride and arrogance - the book they claim to live by.

Billionaires and CEOs know Trump and Republicans are gutting Medicaid and SNAP to pay for their tax cuts.

So where are the billionaires who should be saying, “Wait…don’t cut my taxes if it means kids go hungry or die from treatable cancer”?

This is why the rich are villainized by every day folks.
