Called and left messages for @klobuchar.senate.gov and @smith.senate.gov asking them to hold firm on the ACA
Sounds like the squishes in the senate caucus are ready to pull the plug with no ACA changes. This is real. If you want to register your opinion you shld call yr senator in the next hour. They not only want to reopen w/nothing. They want cover from their colleagues who still want to hold out.

Hi Minnesotan Bluesky:

The DFL has a well-known transphobia problem. I'm organizing to change the party platform in 2026 to be explicitly supportive of trans people in Minnesota. This will provide a basis for expelling transphobia from our party.

Getting new details on this now:

As the arrest unfolded, teachers pleaded with the agents telling them the teacher had a work permit. The agents went into multiple rooms looking for teachers while children were present. One teacher hid with a child in her care while the agents stormed the facility.

Reminder to be kind to the hardworking Minneapolis Elections staff this morning.

They worked all day yesterday and late into the night supporting precincts and election judges, and will be back at it first thing this morning to bring us RCV results.

Good morning to all the election judges whose alarms just went off at 4:45am.

$100 buys emergency groceries to feed a family of four for a month through the food shelf — they’re about halfway to their $16K match goal, so if you donate $50 now, you’re helping a whole family survive
I’m raising money for Groveland Emergency Food Shelf, a South Minneapolis nonprofit that provides emergency groceries for those in need. They’re currently struggling to keep up with demand, and they’re getting their first $16k in donations matched.

I’ve got $50 on it! Can anyone match me?

I’m asking everyone to vote for a new Mayor by Tuesday and rank all 3 of Omar Fateh, Dewayne Davis, and Jazz Hampton in whichever order you prefer. I’ve worked at City Hall for the last 4 years and from my personal experiences I believe the City desperately needs a new mayor.

Long thread 🧵

I took no photos at Bare Bones last night because I was too entranced by the art, the experience of being in the enormous audience, and the emotional response to the performance

Kudos to everyone involved- truly a balm for the soul in these times.

The Bare Bones performance at Powderhorn Park tonight was absolutely phenomenal. I didn’t know I was still capable of being absolutely floored by art in this way—it was emotionally, visually, sonically perfect and profound.

I was bawling during the honoring of the lives lost.

Solidarity with the Minneapolis Federation of Educators. 📕✏️

92% of members participated in the strike vote, and 92% of voting members voted in favor of a strike.

Minneapolis educators deserve our entire support during this time.

If anything, this has gotten worse. Today multiple cars almost hit a similar pair, even as construction workers put up additional fencing. There’s no safe and accessible way for pedestrians to cross here.
Today I watched an elder in a wheelchair and their helper almost get hit while crossing under Hiawatha to attend an event at Little Earth.

It’s hard to convey just how much Chicagoans are mobilizing against ICE. Don’t want to downplay the harm, or make it seem like a fair fight. But in neighborhoods across this city, ICE is getting chased by people blowing whistles and shouting. People are running TOWARD ICE to protect their neighbors.
