If you are wondering what words the all-male Congress found so "blasphemous" that they felt compelled to literally scrape them off the monument, they were: ''Woman, first denied a soul, then called mindless, now arisen, declared herself an entity to be reckoned.''
On this day in 1921, Congress reluctantly accepted a sculpture memorializing women’s 19th A victory. Congress relegated the memorial to the Capitol’s crypt & painted over the feminist inscription. The statue stayed entombed in the crypt for 76 years. The inscription is still not restored. #WeTheMen

Call US Senators and tell them to vote against the SAVE Act. It has already passed the US House. In its current form, it means that 100 years after women earned the right to vote, we are facing down the implementation of a 21st century poll tax for women.

Personhood is not a metaphysical question, it's a political question. AI personhood debates focus only on the former to obscure the latter.

When "we cannot have serious conversations about AI" is just a shorthand for "I want critics to overlook that none of the criticism has been answered and I need them to accept that AI is without alternative and forever" the problem lies not with the critics.

In a certain sense I am happy that they are now saying it out loud so I don't sound like a lunatic
Fuentes, yesterday: “Our #1 political enemy is women because women constrain everything, every conversation, every man, everything. They have to be imprisoned. They are the ones that are hurting the fertility rate. They're the ones making us sympathetic to poor people, which are also brown people.”
Nick Fuentes: “The number one political enemy in America is women. … They have to be imprisoned.”

Did The Atlantic really write a story entitled "What Happened to Pam Bondi?" Nothing happened! She's always been willing to do anything for power. She fired the only prosecutors looking into foreclosure fraud on behalf of a campaign donor. She was an Amazon lobbyist!

In my wildest dreams I could never have imagined a more gratuitous sign that AI is a bubble than “chance the rapper, sponsored by coreweave.” It’s beautiful. It’ll be in a movie someday

A move from a moderately discriminatory firm to a highly discriminatory one reduces the Black share of new hires by 17%.

Bottom line:
Audit studies aren’t just measuring on paper discrimination.

Callback gaps map directly onto real world hiring outcomes.
