About half of people w/Long Covid develop the neuro disease ME/CFS, and the state of care is so bad Julia is (heaviest possible air quotes) one of the “lucky” ones—that her city even has an ME specialist, or that she’s well enuf to spend hours in transit to see them.

Often not the case. It’s dire.
I had to travel over 2 hours on public transit each way to see my ME/CFS specialist.

UPDATE: Three days on, disabled veteran and US citizen George Retes is still missing after being kidnapped by ICE.

His wife has phoned every law enforcement agency in the area, they all say they don’t know where he is.

It was his daughter’s third birthday yesterday.
