Erstwhile lab rat, current bon vivant. Insisting on persisting in this relentlessly roiling morass of madness. Love is real, Love is the Answer, Love is the fulfillment of the Law. We will fix our hearts or die.

Fun Fact: I love you all. Yes, even *you*.
That's right, I keep finding hidden reserves of Boost Energy even in this late Saturdaylian moment! May I specifically plug @haileypiperfights.bsky.social's NO GODS FOR DROWNING from @badhandbooks.bsky.social, fighting the Good Fight against the encroaching forces of Evil that surround us, eh?

Fun Fact Follow-up: The woman in this image is quite obviously in mourning, and yet here comes Happy Harry Hard-On, macking on her while she directs the Platonic ideal form of the “Jim from THE OFFICE stares into the camera in a state of Disbelief” gaze. Did painters invent that? Dang!
#woah

Speaking of old-timey movies and deep dives—as witnesses may confirm I was just doing, maybe? Ask them, you'll find out!—read this brilliant analysis of BIRTH OF A NATION as a KKK recruitment film that eclipsed much better and earlier cinematic works. Why? That's right... it was White Guys!
So, whenever I go on a big DW Griffith bashing, I typically get a few responses that miss the point.

First, "I DON'T BELIEVE IN CENSORSHIP, WHY ARE YOU TRYING TO BAN THE FILM!" which is a strawman argument. I never said I wanted it banned. I said that I want it out of the canon.

A delightfully fact-rich deep dive into men's fashion, which sorta incidentally demonstrates how Roger Stone is a rancid Nazi fuckstain who cares nothing for the Trump-sucking suckers who would buy a bucket of shit from him if it were Trump-branded, but mostly Yay! Fun Fashion Facts!
Yesterday, Roger Stone announced his partnership with a menswear company, where together they've released a collection of tailored clothing items.

Here is my review of those pieces. 🧵

Couldja tell I've been doing my ratty bestest to amplify positivity today? It's flensingly exhausting swimming upstream against the evil currents of All This, as y'all well ken, so as I take a sanity break, enjoy the fruits of someone else's positivity-thrusting efforts, and go buy books why not?
2 ongoing convos are dovetailing rn:
1. a holiday shopping $ blackout aimed at big business;
2. worry over small presses closing or paring down.

Let's talk direct action: YOU CAN DO BOTH😀

IT'S VITAL TO SUPPORT indie pubs that encourage risk & diversity. Here's a 🧵 of em you can support directly:

Cue thirty minutes of the most gruesome anecdotes ever heard by mortal ears. Holy shit! Just... sweet flippin’ criminies!!

The part that pisses me off the most is there will never be a reckoning for this, like many of the atrocities the US has committed in its relatively short history. None of these people will be held responsible. And years from now they will be on dancing with the stars without a care. Sickening.
