Will SOMEONE in this godforsaken Congress actually take their oath to protect and defend the United States constitution with the same degree of seriousness as every person in Minneapolis?

This... is not the role of ODNI. This is so fucked up in all sorts of ways that will have lasting implications.

I recognize it's not going to happen, but this is something that Congress should freak the fuck out about.

ICE Out of Minneapolis: A Battle the Whole Labor Movement Must Take Up!
Minneapolis is rising up against ICE as workers, immigrants, and communities refuse to accept raids and repression. While some politicians posture and others attack the movement outright, and the courts keep the deportation machine running, only organized labor and collective action can turn mass protest into real power and drive ICE out of the city.

Its actually really easy to automod Nazis out of existence on a platform, cause they can't help but use slurs and throw out their dog whistles and codes to signal to each other that they are Nazis. Sometimes they even just go "Hey I'm a Nazi, glad to meet you fellow Nazi."
this fascist account has been active & posting for at least a week.

having basic moderation automation filters set to remove accounts with slur names and nazi terminology is an easy tablestakes feature to implement.

this is a very old problem that was already solved going back to bbs forums.

dems voting to keep ICE funded for two more weeks

during those two weeks they will work tirelessly to figure out how to keep ICE funded for much longer

this is what they've come up with
after everything
A Democratic aide says of the new deal: “Sets a 2 week clock on DHS funding by itself. If republicans don’t do shit for two weeks, DHS shuts down and there’s little incentive for us to reopen without the guardrails on ICE”

In the last month I learned:
- Im too poor to marry my partner
- My car is dying
- My partner’s disability was denied
- the local queer thrift store is closing
- what familial safety nets we had left have been destroyed by layoffs

I love my life but the gov makes it rly hard to live.

they kidnap a five year old and generate national outrage and rather than do some basic window dressing to treat him nice while abusing everyone else they do this

Pew has Trump's approval at 37%. And:

"Only about a quarter of Americans today (27%) say they support all or most of Trump’s policies and plans, down from 35% when he returned to office last year. That change has come entirely among Republicans."

They detained witnesses to a murder they committed specifically so they couldn’t answer questions or talk to journalists.

No charges.
No excuse given.
And they claim they can do this to ANY US citizens they want.

You do not hate the modern Gestapo enough. Because they sure hate you.
ICE has an acronym for when they detain US citizens, which, of course, should not be happening.

They call them "USCs" — US citizens in custody.

And after Pretti was shot, they grabbed a bunch of USCs, held them in custody, not for any investigative purpose.
