Attention hacking is a huge political factor, and the right/oligarchy is absolutely hammering on it, systematically, coast to coast

It certainly doesn’t always work but it only needs to work, ya know, 15% of the time, and they just hammer on those 1 out of 6 efforts that get traction
I feel like "attention hacking" is most of politics now. The Minnesota aid fraud story is becoming a perfect example.

Recap: In 2022, the Biden DOJ filed the first charges against dozens of fraudsters, many of them Somali-American, who'd fleeced a state food aid program. (1/x)

We might call what’s going on fascism, but I’m reading a 500+p research tome about the mass-murdering rise of Franco’s fascist dictatorship in 🇪🇸…

What we’re enduring involves about 0.001% of the violence and depravity of just that one ~3-year period in one fascist country

Watching sports in U.S. during Trump II

One would certainly desire more anti-Trump messaging

There is a good deal of anti-bigotry messaging - “UNITY”

Perhaps most importantly - outside of Ellison/Weiss CBS, there is virtually nobody or corp. willing to explicitly identify as or endorse MAGA

Still unreported, should be investigated:

ICE shot Richard outside a mall. I visited mall security office. Guard said ICE and LAPD came in, used thumb drive to copy mall’s video footage, and THEN DELETED THE EVIDENCE from mall’s local drives. He showed me the missing timeline part saying “no data.”
Huge win for Richard Noticias LA, TikTok journalist shot by ICE. Criminal charges dismissed with prejudice, meaning can’t be refiled.

ICE did him DIRTY. Repeatedly. Inhumane treatment, basically medical torture.

Still in ICE custody on immigration case. They owe him unconditional release.

87 in Tulsa OK yesterday! Ludicrous for late December.

I’m trying to simplify my life. Manage my 70 trillion cells better. Be cool with my 83 gazillion protons in each of those cells. But these things all have to be “complicated”. Cmon proton man, be simple.

The Trump 1 DOJ was monitoring a key journalist exposing the cover-up of Epstein. Tracking things like her flights.
Julie K. Brown is a reporter for the Miami Herald who did groundbreaking work on Epstein beginning in 2018, including groundbreaking work on the disgusting coverup by Alex Acosta.

Her travel itinerary was released with some of the Epstein files. It appears the DOJ was monitoring her in 2019.

Mind boggling how *inspired people like Thea have to be, to be so dialed in creating great work like this, year after year

I have to like 💪summon up my mental and emotional energy⚡️ just to take in the language of the tweet, let alone all the interviews and writing itself🤯

This administration lied about the people it sent to an overseas torture prison. It lies about the people it’s deporting. It lies every day to gain political advantage. Not a chance in hell they won’t lie about huge swaths of people they suspect might vote for the other party.

Wow by this logic the US military lost about $1,000 Billion in “the last year alone”*

Except the military didn’t deliver any mail they just shipped trained human and robotic agents of lethality, and other weapons all over the planet

*what a propagandistic turn of phrase

The USPS faces a tight squeeze. With fewer people using the mail, it’s lost more and more money: $9 billion in the 12 months ending in September alone.
