Teddy is a 6yo toy poodle with ginger fur. This year we’ve spent several hours (in total) interacting while I chat with his humans. Today his mum asked, “Where’s Margaret?” and Teddy came over and sat at my feet, looking smug. Name recognition! ☺️

Prepayment energy customers who are mostly First Nations people, by and large miss out on consumer protections enjoyed by post-pay customers in Australia.

One of the major fruits of research is delight. Think of how often you’ve read about a discovery and really enjoyed it. Often the most pleasurable kind of news. Public delight isn’t discussed enough as one of the major outputs of funding research.
I strongly recommend everyone do research sometimes 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘧𝘶𝘯.

Look something up on Wikipedia. Go to the little citation. Follow it. Read the article it's referencing. Follow links to the original interview. Read the paper written by the interviewee

I can see a new type of cruelty is being birthed for domestic violence victims and women that have been criminalised. The only thing missing from the legislation is naming Indigenous peoples as the intended victims of state.
Labor are sneaking through extraordinary powers to let police and ASIO cut peoples welfare if they’ve been charged with a crime.

This is an unacceptable power grab, and will harm families and partners of people reliant on payments to survive.
