This is a policy failure by every city in Minnesota.

This gentleman and I had just gotten off the busiest bus line in the state. The entire sidewalk was this bad or worse.

Enforcement is not working. Community driven solutions leave too many areas out.

Municipal sidewalk clearing now.

Gonna stop looking at the Epstein Files in a second because I'm frankly way too skeeved out to keep going but I will say this: the CSAM isn't blacked out nearly enough while the faces of guys in ties are obscured by vanta black rectangles the size of the sun.

If you want to take one thing away from the art of the New Deal it is - in my humble opinion - that throwing money at *NORMAL* artists to decorate public buildings makes the world a much nicer place, particularly if you charge them with making the decorations evoke the history of where they are.

And when they try to band together to cope, such as sharing pads or tampons, they often fall prey to prison disciplinary systems used to target them for punishment.

Yes – that means someone can get punished for giving another incarcerated person a tampon.

"Officials allowed her only a small ration of menstrual products... On her worst days, she tore up her own T-shirts and used them as makeshift pads"

Behind bars, managing menstruation is difficult, uncomfortable, and often downright dangerous:

A little salty that a Moving Container Street permit that occupies 2 parking spaces and is valid for 3 days cost $200, but Residential Parking Permits for the equivalent space and valid for 365 days would only cost $50 ($25/spot!)

Somehow I've wound up unusually invested in the local politics of Minneapolis, a city I have never lived in and have only visited for a couple of school trips back in high school.

As you get older, it is easy to lose touch with friends especially as your professional life gets busier.

It is mega mega mega important that you invite people to be around you. Have friends over just to have them over. "Do you want to hang out" doesn't need to go away as you grow up.

What’s really sad is the only vehicles with tickets are the contractors trucks actually being used.
