Grateful to Senators Bennet and Hickenlooper for taking this critical action.

We’ll continue to support their efforts every step of the way!
President Trump thinks he can intimidate Colorado by shuttering NCAR.

It’s political retribution, Senator John Hickenlooper and I won’t stand for it. We are holding up the appropriations package to demand NCAR is fully funded.

The Trump Administration's plan to dismantle the @ncar-ucar.bsky.social is senseless & dangerous.

It would weaken weather forecasting, climate research, & the science that keeps people safe.

We urge that this plan be abandoned.

Here's our reporting on the proposed dismantling of the jewel of US atmospheric science, @ncar-ucar.bsky.social.

The plan is to break NCAR apart and disburse some parts to other locations (like the research aircraft fleet) and eliminate others.

Good questions to be asking! I remember @profdesai.bsky.social had some really good advice for me on how to write these letters but it is lost to the ancient history of twitter.
Dear senior profs who have written tenure letters.

Can you help demystify the process for some junior profs up for tenure soon?

What do you look for? How do you make your evaluation?

We are told that the letters are the most important part of the file, but not what letter writers look for.
