The rockets are hard capped at the first apron this season so they cannot go over it even with an exception.
They have less than a veteran minimum worth of cap space so they cannot sign anyone until the pro-rated minimum is small enough

Tons of weird, cool stuff released and immediately buried.

The right wing/rural complaint is often "it's unfair that society refuses to rearrange itself such that small towns are more preferable to live in" and are we surprised that this comes from the same folks who brought us "it's not fair that people have different media preferences than me"
"the vast majority of people don't want to live in small towns because small towns offer nothing to their residents nor the larger community" is tough for small town fans to deal with but has the unfortunate quality of being agonizingly, obviously true

A big problem for the country is that while much if not most of the country is doing normal stuff that needs to be done the highest and most profitable echelons of the economy have transitioned from "selling products to customers" to "lying to rich guys" as a business model
And its also why theyre even rebranding shit that ISNTZ AI AS AI. Theyre branding automation tools theyve long had before AI existed as AI to appease dipshit investors.
Big part of why all these game studios are coming out with ridiculous statements of "oh yeah, we use generative AI, but not for anything important!" is because they know consumers hate AI but investors want to hear the studio is using AI, and they're trying to please both
