The official policy of the Trump Administration is ignorant bigotry. We’re asked, under principles including charity, to assume that people support the administration despite that policy, not specifically because of it. I am increasingly unwilling to extend that charity.

This👇 is correct. I say that as a 73 year old person who grew up in a 'two gender solution' world, and who, as a cisgender traditionally male person has been quite comfortable in it. But I can now see that this model, though convenient for me, does violence to others. It is wrong & must go.
The so-called “two gender solution” is an unworkable fantasy

Given how many hundreds of billions of dollars we’re spending on these enterprises, maybe we could just use that money to create a social safety net that incentivizes human flourishing rather than crimes of desperation and armies of prison guards and masked vigilantes? Just spitballing here.

The premise of All in the Family was that the moral arc of American culture could bend toward justice as long as we tapped into our fundamental human decency (Edith) and the idealism of young people (Meathead and Gloria) so as to gradually drag scared reactionary bigots into the modern world.

I think we can safely say that the Leavitt's brother called ICE on his ex, the mother of his child, and I have to say: I have no desire to respect, find common ground or share the country with these monsters.
“After Ferreira was detained, Dos Santos Rodrigues said Michael Leavitt Sr. and his father, Bob Leavitt, reached out to her.”

“‘They just kept saying, ‘Tell her to self-deport,’” she recalled. “Self-deport to where? Brazil is not her home.’” www.bostonglobe.com/2025/11/26/m...
‘Brazil is not her home.’ Mother of Karoline Leavitt’s nephew, brought to US as child, detained by ICE. - The Boston Globe
Bruna Ferreira, 33, was brought to the United States as a child in 1998. She is now in removal proceedings in Louisiana.

The President of the United States just called for Democratic members of Congress to be executed. "HANG THEM", he posted.

If you're a person of influence in this country and you haven't picked a side, maybe now would be the time to pick a fucking side.

On the beach so we brought spades and buckets.
The whale was too big,

This will surely surprise most Americans today, but historians have recently discovered that before Donald Trump, it was actually incredibly rare for a president to demand the public execution of this political opponents and press critics.

Today is #TransDayOfRemembrance. Trans people and their human rights are under attack around the globe. The Vagina Museum stands defiant against these attacks. We are a proudly trans inclusive space, even as discourse grows ever more toxic.

On this Veterans Day, I pay special tribute to those who served, especially the trans service members, only to have Whiskey Pete Hegseth shit all over their service because he's an insecure, inadequate right wing white man.

“but we should cut pay for these overpaid politician fat cats” is the easiest and cheapest attack line in the world and it’s enormously counterproductive because it ensures that these positions get filled by actual fat cats who don’t need the money

Trans rights are civil rights. If you aren't willing to die on the hill of trans rights, then you aren't willing to die on the hill of Black rights. Of Jewish rights. Of disabled rights. Of gay rights. Of anyone's rights. Human rights.
I hate to say it but the majority of the country is not going to die on the hill of trans rights. We can’t protect ANY groups if we can’t win a national election, so purity tests only serve to make specific groups feel triumphant. That’s not “erasing” them; it’s long-horizon strategy.
