Me to my daughters this morning, the morning after our family Covid/Flu shots: “Come on girls, suck it up. It’s not so bad.”

Me this afternoon, the afternoon after our family Covid/Flu shots: “I’m tired. My body hurts. I wanna eat but I don’t wanna eat? I want the entire house to be a warm bath.”

Maybe the thing holding Alberta back is privatization.
Just renewed my #ICBC car insurance for a year, cost me all of $1477. That's $80 cheaper than last year, which was cheaper than the year before. Public auto insurance is a wonderful thing! Here's the 10-yr change in auto insurance costs by province from StatsCan. #bcpoli #cdnpoli

One thing about great design is when you can understand how to use something without instruction. Like a hammer generally has a rubberized handle up to a certain point. It lets you know where you should hold the hammer.
True comedy is watching Dave Portnay trying to use a hammer

Stupefying. Shocking even.
Worth noting this section in today's report from the parliamentary budget officer.

Wait, Poilievre is penning off reporters again? What an absolute nut.

Ah, man. This is depressing. Not the dividend cut. Who cares. But the rest of it is sad.

Just think of all the groups in Canada with enormous political power and then think of all the political capital you have to burn to appease even one of those groups. We feel like a nation custom built for conflict; constantly under threat of being torn apart. Very bad design. ★★☆☆☆

Because he’s rich. Isn’t that how it always works?
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

I’d be curious if the Nisga’a Nation approached the American partner first or vice versa. Because that does change the understanding of indigenous-led.
Mark Carney is about to announce more of his “elbows up” major projects.

But under the surface, one that’s being sold as an Indigenous-led LNG project is actually — spoiler — American as hell.

That’s not even the worst part!

That’s not to say they’re bad musicians. They’re not. Just a mistake. But in general: play a bad note, it’s gone in a second and barely anyone notices in a live setting. But if you lose time, consistently, everyone notices and it throws everyone off ‘cause even the audience is in the rhythm.
Watched Soundgarden perform Rusty Cage for their HOF induction and it seems to kind of fall apart in the second verse. Doesn’t matter how perfect your technique is, how many scales or chords you know, if your timing sucks, you’ve focused on the wrong thing.

How big does the writing on the wall need to be for Poilievre to read it?
"My plan is to continue to lead and be the only leader in the country that's fighting for an affordable Canada," Conservative Leader Pierre Poilievre says when pressed by a reporter on his leadership style following the recent departure of two of his MPs.

By that I mean: if Trump goes down, think about how it will likely sink his children and the entire bloodline might fade into obscurity and how great that will be for everyone. You know, except them.
I know it's all fun and games to go around calling Trump a sex criminal but just think about his children.
