Journalism died but it wasn't killed by Trump. It was killed by journalists and editors who worship power and prestige.
Barely a blip in the news. 🦗from the New York Times editorial and opinion pages. Compare with days of Hunter Biden Hysteria about unprecedented abuse of the pardon power.

That new doc about Sy Hersh describes a pattern of behavior that continues at the NYT. They're still letting the Kissingers of today run their suck to the paper and they run the quotes unchallenged citing them as a government official familiar with events.

The WaPo editorial board is a pristine collection of some of the worst people in the world.
The Washpost edit board calls Trump’s bombing in Nigeria “a welcome change in a part of the world that has always been little more than an afterthought for the president” — and has zero mention of the thousands in Africa facing starvation because of USAID cuts

Even Uncle Dave's sidepiece got a nice write up in the NYT where she admonished everyone for describing her as a mistress.
The woman at the center of last summer's viral kiss-cam meltdown has relaunched herself with a glossy profile in the New York Times. There is a clear messaging strategy at work and I actually thought it was pretty sound. open.substack.com/pub/williamm...

Calling out a fascist for taking a hypocritical position is easy. It's also a complete waste of time. Fascist rhetoric is aesthetics— pathos, never logos.

You'll never get anywhere pointing out a fascist's hypocrisy. Fascism is not to be debated, it's to be smashed. Get comfortable using power.

This is perfect. The DOJ's embarrassing snafu with disappearing redactions was the fault of Elon Musk. Musk cancelled government subscriptions to Adobe programs that would have made the redactions permanent. What a pack of fools.

During his first admin his AG had to resign because he was the one that cut the sweetheart deal with Epstein, and violated the victims civil rights by not informing them.
Trump frustrated at never-ending Epstein saga, calls on DOJ to release names of only Dems connected to Epstein to “embarrass them” and suggests that despite legal requirement to release everything, DOJ should consider saying “no more.”

The people pumping Defense Tech, the USS Trump, and a Greenland invasion legitimately do not care.

They think it’s funny Ukraine is being put to the sword.

They’ll laugh when it’s Taipei or Manila, too.

They want to harm their homeroom teacher from 9th grade and the girl barista at Dutch Bros.

Same with VA. It's not perfect but it has come a long way.
The DMV comparison that conservatives always use makes me laugh because it’s one of the places that has obviously incrementally improved over the course of my lifetime and they’re still acting like it’s the 90s and they’re spending half the day at the DMV.

Incoherent policy disarray.
We have to stop doing this. We can’t continue to use TLAMs on targets that don’t justify their use or the cost to replace them. We hit a few in unfortified targets in Nigeria with Tomahawks when he could’ve used a couple $20,000 GBUs.

Then 3 agents divvy up his paid for food—taking what they want for themselves.

"Can I just get the wife's number to call and let her know?" woman asks.

"No, guess he should've complied," agent says.
