I'm 40 years old and a dad of two, so let me say this:
I'm unofficially adopting every Bluesky user who isn't an obnoxious asshole, effective immediately.
I'm your new dad, and I know you're struggling, but I can see how hard you're working to improve yourself.
I'm really proud of you.

I would flip their spots, but this is obviously the correct top 2
Mercedes Monè and Toni Storm being the #1 and #2 women's wrestlers of the year in Pro Wrestling Illustrated is SO well deserved.
These two have earned every accolade, and will go down in history as two of the greatest to EVER do it.
Well done! 👏

Or a flash grown force sensitive clone succumbed to cloning madness and became the villain galactic history knows as Darth Vader?

I think it's pretty funny that the ship model that's meant to be the equivalent of this one, but for the Rebellion, is a model of Home One, which in actual ship-size terms is roughly the same size as.....the two regular ISDs that are hanging off the sides of the Executor here.
In honor of today's Star Wars talk, I finally sat down and finished the Lego set I got in April:

I think the disconnect here is that a lot of people who weren't affected directly by the shutdown did not, in fact, want the shutdown to end, and would have been mad about anything short of Trump resigning in shame and Bernie Sanders, or someone chosen by him, being named the new President.
Of course they wanted the shutdown to end. We all wanted to shut down to end. If your theory of political systems doesn't account for airlines having the opinion that they should continue to sell goods and services wait until you hear about other associations of interests like political parties.

I watched the first season of this 1150 million years ago, and I remember thinking it was extremely funny that the show was premised on the idea of a single player in an MMO becoming comically overpowered, and even the game's designers were just like: "HOW DO WE STOP HER? SHE'S TOO STRONG!!!"
Anywell BOFURI: I don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense is an excellent anime and you should watch that instead of politics posting.

Can't sleep, so here's some random thoughts about random stuff:
1. Nice that Predator: Badlands seemed to do well. I think the idea of "Angry, dumb Predator and his smart, Robot sister have to live on Hell World for a bit" sounds like a fun premise
2. Todd Bowles should be fired into the sun

The Celtics get away with fouling on pretty much every play. Its honestly impressive how, for example, they are literally never set on a screen.
You would think they would manage it once or twice by accident

Playing FFT because the Todd Bowles's playcalling was driving me up a wall, and I just got to the Germonique Papers, and I get to remember all over again how the game randomly stops in Act 3 and makes you read a book saying, in essence, Jesus was a known fraud and Judas's "betrayal" was exposing him

This whole situation seems so bizarre.

Harley's improvement over the last couple years is jaw-dropping.
Even in the last 6 months, she's gone from "Fun character who isn't a total liability in the ring" to "GREAT character who can more than hold up her end in a solid match"

Harley has improved an insane amount since her debut. From AEW Dark to QTV to great matches with Thekla on Dynamite. I'm just endlessly entertained by her.

Really seems like this shouldn't have come out until after his death.
Michigan state Rep. Bryan Posthumus’s legislative career has centered on protecting what he calls “traditional family values,” yet his name appears in leaked data from Ashley Madison, AdultFriendFinder, & Fling.com, according to records. Read more below...

Because when they think and talk about AI, they're referring to the kind of AI from "I Have No Mouth and I Must Scream", and not the kind they're actually selling.
not really sure why we think AI is a race exactly

This is also the problem, BTW, with modern seasons of The Simpsons.
Early season episodes were based on whatever random influences were being brought in by the weirdo nerds in the writers' room. The Simpsons came from that.
Now all the writers grew up watching The Simpsons.

This was a shitpost, but a dynamic which was what made Star Ward (plus Marvel Comics in the 70s and 80s, and Indiana Jones, and a lot of other similar things) great is that the sources they were drawing from *wasn’t the franchise itself*
Lucas and Spielberg drew from pulps and Flash Gordon

Dear Bob Iger:
Please give me control of the Star Wars franchise.
My concept is to just remake old war and samurai movies, but Star Wars.
The Dirty Dozen but Star Wars.
The Great Escape but Star Wars.
Zatoichi the Blind Swordsman but Star Wars.

Part of me feels like the only just way to deal with the White House Press is for someone from the White House to walk in, say:
"We have a really juicy exclusive for one of you",
Break a pool cue in half like Ledger's Joker, and then say: "Figure out which one of you gets the scoop" and leave

The obvious truth here is that there's no way you can justify bailing out AI/Crypto because the money to do so doesn't exist. Like, the actual amount of money required to do so is on a scale that'd be impossible to backstop, even if we wanted to.
“It’s not that I’m for austerity, it’s just that I’m against bailing out AI, crypto, private assets/university endowments, and I’m fine with canceled Thanksgiving flights and missed paychecks as long as Republicans take the blame for it.”
