Don't stop searching for joy.
Track it down if you can.
Look in cluttered bookstores, historic theaters, haunted playgrounds, and misty moors.
Take joy out for tea, adventure, and gentle mischief across the land.

Petition: Condemn and investigate far-right group ‘White Vanguard’ in Wales
We call on the Welsh Government to condemn and take action against White Vanguard, whose members have joined weekly demonstrations outside the Holiday Inn Express in Rhoose, which is housing Afghan families who are here legally under a Government resettlement scheme. The group displays antisemitic slogans, performs Nazi salutes, and spreads racist conspiracy theories, threatening community safety and cohesion.

What happens now is that every dropped piece of trash, every inch of graffiti, every broken down subway train, every disappointing sandwich, every rat in Central Park, and every single crime gets blamed on Zohran Mamdani... by racists who never go near NYC.
My tip as a Londoner. Shrug and carry on.

This afternoon an incredibly important principle is being debated in the House of Lords
We know people die at our border & in our asylum system at a horrifying rate, but shockingly the govt does not record how many, who, or how.

I'm still not wearing a poppy.
Undecided whether I will.
I might treat it like whamageddon, and see if I get one by Sunday.
Because, y'know, it's only a poppy.
(I can give and do give to charity; but that's no-one else's business, right?)

We see something similar in the UK.
Most benefits go to people IN WORK.
Because there are not enough properly paid jobs.
Rather than insisting employers pay decent wages, governments use taxpayers’ money to subsidise employers who don’t.
Welfare was not meant to support employers.
This is wrong

The fact a *single* Amazon full-time employee requires SNAP benefits should be a crime. The fact Amazon is the largest employer of SNAP recipients is a disgrace. Jeff Bezos shouldnt be that rich; he should be in jail.

It will never be beneficial to "compromise" on human rights to garner acceptance & validation because in doing so you agree with the bigot who declared you subhuman & deserving of unique policing & fewer rights. They're never going to be satiated in depriving you of humanity & position among them.
