That Bradley Cooper episode from the Righteous Gemstones needs its own spinoff. I would watch the hell out of that.

Two-thirds of Democrats say their own party makes them feel frustrated. By far the most commonly cited reason is that the party is not pushing back hard enough against Trump. www.pewresearch.org/politics/202...

About to start the Bakeoff finale. Not sure it’s ever been more abundantly clear in advance who the winner is going to be.

I love this data essay by some of my @pewresearch.org colleagues looking at how the ways that the U.S. Census has measured race and ethnicity have changed over the country's history and how they're poised to change again in 2030.
Counting Race: How the Census Measures Identity and What Americans Think About It
How the U.S. government measures race has changed substantially since censuses began in 1790. Today, Americans differ on whether the government should ask about race.

Only five more days...
By some unfortunate twist of bad data entry or poor record linkage, someone on the Virginia voter file is listed as having my phone number.

This person also seems to have been deemed “persuadable” by both parties.

It’s going to be a very long month.

Quite a statement on the information environment these days: 9 in 10 Americans say they at least sometimes come across news they think is inaccurate, and about half find it difficult to determine what's true.
Many Americans say they often come across inaccurate news – and have a hard time knowing what’s true
Those who report often encountering inaccurate news are more likely than those who rarely or never do to say it’s hard to know what is true (59% vs. 31%).

In Ghost of Yotei, I was relieved they didn’t have you name your horse this time.

Then they make you name the wolf…🤨

Really interesting work (and thoughts on experimental design)!
After a huge post-election flip in economic perceptions, I thought Democrats and Republicans might be lying to pollsters to send a partisan message — but I was wrong!
