People need to start internalizing the fact that ChatGPT is NOT AN ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE. It's a language model, which means all it does is put words in an order that might make sense. It cannot reason, it cannot think, and it cannot plan ahead.

like i love this story and I think it reveals something important. the atari is encoding a ton of information about the rules of chess explicitly in a very small amount of data, and the associational model, despite a much larger amount of data & computation, does not effectively model the game

How many reactionary centrists painted blatant racism as "economic anxiety." The media whitewashed all of this for a decade. The greatest sin in their eyes was calling MAGA racist.

Just like when Unity tried to pull some shit, this shouldn't be seen as "Phew, glad that's taken care of," you need to question how long this will last. They played their hand and showed their intent. Do you trust that they will maintain this forever just because they experienced backlash?
Adobe appears to have reversed course on this. Animate is safe, at least for the immediate future.
