Share a 90s movie you think deserves more love...

Oscar is one of the funniest movies you'll ever see, with a sharp script and perfect casting, but it got panned all over the place because with Stallone involved people were expecting an action film and got a comedy instead.

X introduced a feature a couple of days ago that showed where an account was based. Then it turned out 99% of MAGA influencers were overseas, so they disabled the feature. Now it's back with an icon that provides a "can be affected by recent travel" caveat.

The sad part? MAGA supporters don't care.

I'll add another, lesser-known album to my previous response.

It's not because they're both circles. As far as you can prove.

Donald Trump is calling for the arrest of Democrat members of Congress who made a video urging the military to refuse to carry out illegal orders - which they are legally bound to do by the Uniform Code of Military Justice. And he is supporting a post that calls for those Democrats to be executed.

I think it's fair to say that Donald Trump has actually created the perfect illustration of his presidency.

Within hours of Daniel Naroditsky passing away, Vladimir Kramnik, who spent a full year baselessly accusing him of cheating, tried to use his passing as a way to prop himself up as somehow being the only person who cared about him.

Kramink is vile, and FIDE needs to ban him.

What's with the new YouTube update nerfing the in-player recommended videos to 3 instead of 12? That seems like... the opposite of driving engagement.

@mark-carney.bsky.social This is a list of beliefs that Charlie Kirk held. It is fine to decry his murder as unacceptable political violence, but to elevate him with a standing ovation is abhorrent to Canadian values. Shame on you and everyone who participated.

You skipped over this part of the page - you can verify ownership of the account by telling them what games you've activated on it.

So, by telling the entire internet what games you've activated on Steam, you are giving the entire internet the ability to "recover" your account and take it from you.

If your industry can't exist without trampling on the rights of millions of people across over a century of history, then it doesn't deserve to exist.

Went to the Dave Matthews Band concert tonight, right at the front of the pit. Almost 3 hours of wonderful music and good vibes with friends old and new. I can see why some folks follow them around and go to every concert.

I hope they come back again on the next tour so I can go again. I had fun.

What is common knowledge in your field, but shocks outsiders?

In any standard 9x9 sudoku, the red cells and blue cells are exactly the same 16 digits.

I like to think I can admit when I'm wrong. This is one of those times. Like many of you, I thought altNPS was, if not a group of government employees, at least a group of people doing good work. They claim to be the official "Resistance" team of the U.S. National Park Service.

They are not.

Thursday, I watched the 2025 Snow White remake. Yesterday I watched the 1937 animated version. Now I kind of just want to watch all the movie adaptations of that story I can find.

Next on the list: Snow White: A Tale of Terror, a 1997 film starring Sigourney Weaver, Sam Neill, and Monica Keena.
