X introduced a feature a couple of days ago that showed where an account was based. Then it turned out 99% of MAGA influencers were overseas, so they disabled the feature. Now it's back with an icon that provides a "can be affected by recent travel" caveat.

Fun fact: you can prevent Windows from restarting to complete updates by changing your active hours to 8am-2am in the morning, and 8pm-2pm in the evening, and putting your computer to sleep rather than turning it off. Doing this allows you to delay update installations indefinitely.

When I cancelled my trip to @sudokucon.bsky.social this year, it wasn't because of tariffs or trade issues. It was because I saw how ICE was escalating things on US soil, and I decided it wasn't safe for me to visit the United States.

It is very weird when US media does not report on the safety concerns, which are top of the list for Canadians I know. Yeah we are also pissed off but we've been pissed off since January, the decline was not gonna keep declining based purely on "elbows up."
