No one ever fully recovers from an infection of Covid-19. Symptoms may fade, but ongoing harm continues within the body. If repeated infections happen, the harm is increased.

To avoid infection and the harm that results, wear a respirator mask in all situations of potential contagion.

Tom Hanks explains to Stephen Colbert why he masks on the subway:

"I'm doing a play right now so I cannot get sick... I've had COVID enough in my life, I don't need to do that again. So I'm wearing this for health reasons."

Thank you Tom! Masks are still a key part of public health.

Treksky, do your stuff.
TREKKIES OF BLUESKY: I just got the cursed idea to try and acquire a near-enough replica of Janeway's coffee mug for my basically-not-on-here best friend's birthday/Xmas. Turns out this is the hardest of the Trek mugs to acquire.

Can anyone help me out?

FWIW, replacing Android with GrapheneOS (and with LineageOS on non-Pixel Android phones) is an official Stop Gen AI recommendation.

I personally have a Pixel 7 with GrapheneOS.

Every ought to replace all Windows with Linux too. ASAP

second, and most importantly, the *Ontario ad* didn't "roil" the trade relationship. Trump tore it up, like he did with literally every country on the planet. Wtf is this copy.

The response of most governments, including Canada, has been to reduce access to testing and to the vaccine.

Wear an N95 mask in indoor public places to protect yourself and others.😷
Tens of millions of people have died from Covid.

Every country should have responded with record investments in public health infrastructure.

Instead the US government is putting us all at greater risk of more catastrophes by firing hundreds of top scientists whose job is to prevent outbreaks.

Meanwhile, the violent transphobe Jesse Singal gets to roam free here

Very cool website from the waffle asshole and her dipshit “trust and safety” guy who won’t have a convo with Juni.
Aaaaand I’m back.

Transphobia? Racism? Nah, keep posting.

Say that AI data centers should be destroyed and not even specifying which ones? That’s a 24 hour timeout.

If you see an artist at an event who is masked, please, do them a favor. Don't ask why they're masked.

They're most likely masked because covid is still rampant, some regions are having difficulty getting the covid vaccine, and said vaccine has limits on effectiveness. Where's yours?

I would absolutely never use AI to grade student work. Not just because I owe it to the students to actually do the job I’m being paid to, but also 2 of the 3 reasons for marking are for MY benefit-- to check in and make sure my assignment & lesson worked, and to know where students are at.
