This is laughably pathetic and sad (directed towards toshiarte).

My brother in christ, the reason people hate AI to begin with is cause its soulless imitation of art that relies on theft/plagiarism and harming the planet at the expense of typing in prompts that a damn machine does for you.
"To every AI artist grinding prompts at 3 am: thank you" i am fucking crying you can't make this shit up

Walmart and McDonald’s are among the top employers of workers who rely on food stamps.

McDonald's CEO raked in $18.2M last year — over 1,000x the company's median employee pay.

Walmart's CEO pocketed $27.4M — 930x the company's median employee pay.

See the problem?

Every possible task should apparently be automated (while ensuring job safety, of course).

Sure, they've made an environmentally catastrophic mass hallucination disinformation plagiarism Clippy that will destabilize the world, but also their other goal is to replace human workers entirely and let us humans starve. A boycott of AI is the most important boycott of your entire life.

my “AI is over” anecdote is that my wife was hired over the summer to write scripts for a big tech company explaining how to use their AI tools and after many rounds of revisions, the latest notes said “we’re finding a lot of AI fatigue among our users” and to remove all references to AI
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

I would go as far as to say it’s actually an important trait to being a good artist, to have a firm sense of who and what you don’t like and what you don’t want to do.

That’s an immediate giveaway these people don’t know anything about and have no actual experience of the art world.

Which I think is a good sign they are really losing the cultural battle.
Also that last part is absolutely not true. Every artist hates a bunch of people sometimes including close friends of theirs.

As everyone knows, the basis of capitalism is that if a product is great you'll need to cram it down everyone's throats (without consent) for years before finally being bailed out by the government

Someone A/B test "Strong floor, no ceiling" vs. "Tax The Rich."
The New Deal wasn’t built on a promise that there would be “no ceiling” for the richest Americans.

Quite the opposite, in fact. FDR knew its politics could only work if he singled out the rich as villains and knew that its policies could only work if the rich paid their fair share in taxes.
