you know this guy is a FOR REAL photographer because he's telling the story of his brutal, unconditional arrest by federal goons and can't help but slip in a gear review
Photo by Pierre Lavie. Yes this is me. And I threw my Leica. It landed on the bass plate with hardly a scratch. Another Photographer grabbed it along with my phone and I was able to track him later. I was held face down tear gas deployed right in front of me and pepper sprayed directly into the eye.

Get Konate off the goddamn field. And figure out what the whole team is doing wrong that you thought you had Guehi in the summer and now he's likely going to City. #Liverpool #LFC

Thread. Hit me different today than it normally would, and not in a good way. But that's on me. I think.
By now, asteroid 2026 Dreadstone has impacted the Indian Ocean, sparking a firestorm not seen on this planet since the K–Pg Extinction Event. Most people just want to be with their families. Here are three ways effective business leaders can leverage targeted KPIs to turn tragedy 😔 into triumph 💪

This rapacious asshole is the former governor of North Dakota, a state that borders both Manitoba and Saskatchewan in Canada. In case Canadians are looking for another reason to not travel to the US.
Only a few minutes after this Hannity interview calling Trump the "king of peace", Doug Burgum posted to his social media account a map showing Canada and Greenland added to the territory of the United States.

Looking forward to hearing that Valar have cut deals with various Canadian provinces to bring their magical tech north of the border.
😳 Isaiah Taylor of Valar Atomics—which somehow scored a DOE contract to build a nuclear reactor by July 4—claimed that “a person cld hold the spent nuclear fuel from [Valar’s] reactor in their hand & get the same amount of radiation as one would expect from a hospital CT scan.”

About that… 1/

Hilariously, I got a text from my younger son about Brendan Liaw today, but only because he's in law school with a friend of Bren's. I've forwarded this to him, and am glad that when he moved back in after returning from school in England, almost the first thing he did was find a new place to live.
When Brendan Liaw agreed he was a professional stay-at-home son on “Jeopardy!” in May, he wasn't expecting to set off a media moment of stories and think pieces on so-called “trad sons” — adult men who embrace the lifestyle of living with their parents.
Stay-at-home sons are here — and they’re not going anywhere
The rise of stay-at-home sons has sparked a national conversation about the changing values and expectations of young men in America.

So what this tells me is a ground invasion would come up through Alberta and Saskatchewan.
“Would you lay down your life for your country” becomes a surprisingly partisan question when it’s asked as a specific plausible instance of needing to lay down your life for your country
