I’m real bummed about Todd Snider. We lost an original American voice and there ain’t enough of those in the first place.

Please listen to “Statistician’s Blues,” for me and for Todd. youtu.be/HPlD5saPoM4?...

I’ve read a lot of his emails. My impression is that he’s cultivating an air of being so terribly busy and important that he can’t be arsed to pay attention to proper English.
Something that’s so striking in these emails is how…unimpressive Epstein is. He comes off as a pompous, sub-literate lech. Yes everyone is so mortifyingly solicitous of him! All fawning and flattery! Why?????

Epstein was involved in a bid to take over Pan Am, and Edward Nixon was an advisor to this deal. It failed because terrorists blew up Pan Am 103 over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988.
President Nixon never met, spoke with, or did business with Jeffrey Epstein in any way. His brother Edward Nixon was briefly involved in a business venture with Mr. Epstein in the 1980s. When it failed they never spoke again.

This must be stopped or pro sports are in trouble.

No more player betting, under penalty of a lifetime ban. No sportsbook sponsors of teams or players. Tightly restricted advertising.

Regulate it like any other vice - booze, cigarettes, weed, etc.
Breaking news per Jeff Passan: “Cleveland Guardians pitchers Emmanuel Clase and Luis Ortiz have been indicted by prosecutors in Brooklyn on a host of charges related to a scheme to rig bets on pitches thrown in MLB games. Ortiz was arrested in Boston earlier today. Clase is not currently in custody”
