The naked racism is vile, but on the whole it’s less surprising than there’s someone in charge of a government social media account who’s baby-brained enough to think that flying pyramids was some vision of 2025 out of anywhere but comic books and Asia album covers.

One of the first things Trump did in Feb. 2017 was set up an office in DHS to *exclusively* publicize crimes committed by immigrants — just as the Nazis used Der Stürmer to publish a special section only highlighting “Jewish crimes.”

A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.
When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.
