Me? I'm gleeful on behalf of whoever gets to sue CBS News first when Bari greenlights something incredibly libelous.
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

EXCLUSIVE: Internal rumblings within the newsroom come after the S&P head resigned and the network disbanded its vaunted Race and Culture unit.

It's Mad Men season 4, for the incredible feat of somehow being better than Mad Men season 3.

Few things guarantee a chuckle for me like the "greatest hits rollercoaster" of Bill Simmons' career captured in motion graphics at the beginning of YouTube uploads of his podcast.

One of the best experiences I've ever had watching a movie in a theater. A total delight.
Now playing (04:05 PM PST):
"Peking Opera Blues" (1986)

You might enjoy these quotes from Falk talking in general about Columbo's "reaching into pockets" business. (In that same interview he told me about directing "Blueprint for Murder" and getting help from Cassavetes and Spielberg.)

Boxing biopic directed by David Michod starring a famous young rising star is a great candidate for opening on ten screens and expanding via word of mouth over the course of two months but uh some people don't believe in that model anymore.
The Sydney Sweeney bomb opening in 2000 theaters is the wildest thing about this drama. So many business masterminds are losing money betting big on things that only matter to right wing twitter users who will absolutely not spend a dime on anything that doesn’t have a picture of Donald Trump on it

Just make it so "James Bond" is an assumed identity MI6 gives to its deadliest "blunt instrument" secret agent, much in the same way that M, Q, and Moneypenny are assumed names.

"Moneypenny" is an assumed name, right?

Patrick Dumont is like a real-life Tom Wambsgans: an MBA Bear Stearns guy who marries his way into unimaginable wealth and access and knows absolutely fuck-all about the products he's selling.

Of course he's not nearly as charming as Matthew Macfadyen.

The sad thing about Sweeney effectively detonating the last of the remaining goodwill/plausible deniability with that GQ interview is she's actually pretty talented. It's not like we're talking about a Gina Carano or Kevin Sorbo.

Independent of her tweets, which are mostly pretty good even when they are exceptionally weird, Joyce Carol Oates is my favorite living American novelist.

every single week they're throwing this guy a special oval office love-in that appears to be the presidential equivalent of letting your dog scarf an entire big mac and fries before that last trip to the vet
Pirro: "Mr President, there is in this room a group of people who love you, who believe in you, and who are so proud to be in this Oval Office and to be part of this amazing day because you have changed the course of America."
