Last year, my heart was being stupid (as is normal for it) and resolved itself quickly... but the d-dimer test my doc ordered showed "there's def a problem".
A chest CT later and we learn there's a large splenic artery aneurysm at risk of rupture.

You get sick? Priority one is taking care of yourself. We have your back, do not come back to work until you're better. You want to take time off for a vacation? Do it, please. Coordinate and plan ahead so we have the work covered. But taking time off is IMPORTANT. Doctor's appointment, kid issue,

If you view "respecting people's pronouns and identity" as something that can be turned off when you don't like the recipient, you don't actually respect Trans and non-binary people, you humor them. No way around this
