'"The Democrats selectively leaked emails to the liberal media to create a fake narrative to smear President Trump," White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.'

OK, let's have some context then.

Languages education at all levels, especially higher, is under existential threat in the UK. It is an impoverished society which produces so few students interested in languages & a shortsighted state that cannot subsidise this public good through tough times. Pls consider signing.

If Farage disrespects the BBC so much, why does he use it as a platform seemingly every bloody week?

I agree totally with Mr. Rentoul on this point.

The kind of people who hate the idea of poor people having more kids are also those who hate the idea of immigrants setting up families in the UK.

Well looking at our current birth rate, it's one or the other.
“I don’t think that it's right that a child is penalised because they are in a bigger family through no fault of their own.” Reeves. For me, this outweighs the argument that taxpayers should not subsidise parents to have children they can’t afford

Bloody racists.
1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

Been on minimum dose Wegovy for a month now and haven't noticed any substantial changes to appetite. I understand that for many it kicks in several months down the line.
I'm interested to hear what others might have experienced using this drug.

A great day for the golden rule of political analysis: when the right wins it is a resounding ideological victory that humiliates the left and when the left wins it is a precarious fluke that will surely end up humiliating the left. Conservatives are power’s landlords and the left merely tenants

The full transcript of Zohran Mamdani's acceptance speech is very much worth reading in full. Even if you don't agree with your politics, it's very beautifully put together.

X is a cesspit led by an unhinged billionaire who is desperately trying to stir up civil war in Britain.

Nobody with any sense or decency should be there.

No organisations, government departments, or politicians should be there.

Everyone who is, is enabling this monster.

She also was a great supporter of our local theatre.

What drives me mad is the number of happy smiling attractive people in TV ads. Why don't we have more ugly miserable bastards like me, for example?

There are public people who are so because they are consequential in some way.
And then there are people who you only get to hear of because they say and do the shittiest stuff.
Reform seems to be a bolt hole for the latter.
Reform UK MP Sarah Pochin, “It drives me mad seeing adverts full of black people, full of Asian people, full of anything other than white"

Followed by that time Sarah Pochin said, "My kids say: mum, you're such a moron" 👀

Is this going to be a 'Rivers of Blood' moment for Badenoch? Heath dismissed Powell from the Cabinet after that speech.
If Badenoch removed the whip from Kam she'd do herself and her party nothing but good.
People who have come to the United Kingdom legally, played by the rules and made it their home do not need to “go home”. This is their home.

I've written to Kemi Badenoch to give her the chance to reject these divisive calls from her frontbencher Katie Lam.
