100 stories about what Israel thinks, none about how MUSLIMS WHO LIVE IN NYC think about having a Muslim Mayor. Nothing to see here.

MASK, MASK, MASK, WEAR A MASK.

3M auras are comfortable, you can find n95s or equivalent at bonafide masks or a hardware store or a medical supply store or basically all sorts of places just make sure they're reputable.

I'm seeing some organizers using this event to oppose immigrants and Muslims. "Taxes" is a catch-all for a white supremacy recruiting event.

It’s notable to me that neither the OR GOP nor their main (unofficial) social media promoter David Medina, has posted about this anti-tax protest in Salem tomorrow. I suspect they know to keep their distance.

That post has one of the more amazing things I found in the archive, a tape recording of a 1991 phone conversation between Walter Huss and one of his Arizona, anti-tax compatriots who he’d just met, where the conversation quickly turns to “the Jews.”

Should be. And @aft.org should be coming out strong against any use of Ai in education….something I’m dismayed as an educator to not be seeing us do.

Yes, it should be illegal. Sora does similar things. AFT should sever its partnership with OpenAI.

Since it's not illegal, please cut off your partnership with all "A.i." companies. As it is, you're helping mainline their dangerous products directly into schools.

For your consideration, a list of questions about your support of "A.i." in schools: bsky.app/profile/greg...
The article you’re sharing touts a teacher making students use “A.i.” to design ugly sweaters. That’s a repugnant use of tech based on theft to rob kids of the chance to use their own minds and hands to actually draw. Do you support that attack on human creativity?

With that kind of ambition, your chances of perfection are basically nil. But oh, the reach! How many people never even try because they know they don't quite have the talent to pull it off? The older I get, the more impressed I am at people doing imperfect work but doing it w/everything they've got

Also, once you start reading Stranger Things as one big allegory for child abuse, the whole thing hits real different. I have my snark about the slog of the editing and endless two-up talking scenes, but as a single piece of work, looking back on the whole thing, it's a really ambitious show.
Finished ep7 of Stranger Things, and it occurs to me that it's rare to see a show with so many frankly refreshingly nontoxic examples of masculinity. Look at all these young men talking about their feelings!! Hugging! Crying! Emoting! It's kind of incredible.

Like, the more historically accurate comparison here is “should a random person be able to call into battle an entire company if their feelings get hurt,” and I struggle to see anyone from the founding of this country answering that with anything other than “are you INSANE?!”

Would love for judges to spend more than half a second considering whether the Second Amendment, as written during a time when a well-trained infantryman could be expected to get around 3 shots PER MINUTE off, is at all applicable to modern firearms

(The answer is “not at all”)
9th Cir., 2-1, holds that open carry is protected by the Second Amendment even where a state allows concealed carry, strikes California's law banning urban open carry and its licensing law for open carry in rural counties.
