Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

Tom Quinn back to wrap up loose ends after a call from Harry in the penultimate scene of Spooks was very satisfying
Shirley is staying inside to watch the snow after experiencing it outside for the first time, leaving it to her brother Warren to lose his tiny mind and run around the garden screaming.

just watched Relay, a pretty neat thriller with a good hook and a twist that worked fine to wrap things up...Riz Ahmed is always good and delivers as a very efficient fixer/negotiator, Lily James does what's required as does Sam Worthington, 3.5 out of 5, higher had they gone for a smarter ending 📽🎥

just watched The Holdovers, a really charming odd couple meets coming of age with a sprinkling of class commentary...incredibly funny in parts, touching in others, and really captures another side of early 70s America we don't see so much, a strong 4 out of 5 📽🎥
