I love Australian true crime podcasts. Lawyers say “I put it to you” when they ask a question or make an assertion. And I put it to you that in the dying empire of America we never say that. I also put it to you that we’re dropping bombs on random boats near Venezuela and murdering innocent people.

back in the day if you called someone a "crumb bum" it was literally the worst thing you could say to them in public and it was 100% fighting words.

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

Tax the rich. Greg Ryan in @bloomberg.com:

The people who spent years crusading against educators, constantly calling them "groomers," are certainly twisting themselves into some verbal and mental knots to defend actual groomers, traffickers, and abusers.

RIP George Lowe.

You'll always be One Of My Guys.
Happy Birthday to George Lowe

George Lowe was the phenomenal primary voice of Space Ghost from his casting in 1994, to his passing in 2025; and was also known for his contributions as a radio announcer, folk artist and folk art collector

Lowe would have turned 68 today

UPDATE: I was able to save the day (at deadline) by refinancing my 401k loan.

This rules!
Thank you to everyone for their shares, kind words, and support!

It meant a lot to us and helped keep us going and able to solve this!

THANK YOU ALL!

Now, I can just watch FRANKENSTEIN for my birthday!!
Good news on this front!

But, I don't want to jinx it...

So, no formal announcements until we are officially out of the weeds.

Thank you to everyone for their support. It means a lot!
Hi, Bluesky.
I don't tend to do this kind of thing, but:

This A.M. my landlord sent my family and I eviction papers for 14 days from now.

That's November 8th. My actual birthday. I'm scrambling for solutions at my factory job rn.

Any gift, share, or kind word helps!
