I read, write, and watch too much TV...so very average at my two favourite things, playing football and guitar, though not at the same time
let's go
Under Pressure, but exchanging the main lyric for 'Russ In Cheshire'

yeah, Gardner and Benson are both interesting in that they write the character in the present day and their own style with some mad ideas - everyone since has done period set in Fleming style, they sort of pull it off but some of it is a bit try-hard, please clap

Brighton centrist, dogs, lol

read a few of them, mostly average...but if they ever made one of them then Doubleshot would be my shout, sort of Face/Off but it's Bond on Bond

this whole series is just so good - I kind of love that whether he's an ally or enemy JDB often gets to tell a little parable or story, he was so good at that stuff

it certainly is soldier

they can't even collect the garden waste we pay extra for on time lol

American Beauty side note - swear the army dad is playing the same role he did in the first Bourne, it's just a continuation of the same 'listen here soldier' arsehole business, a nice niche to carve out as an actor I guess lol

we did rewatch American Beauty a few weeks ago and it still stands up well, it is unfortunately that whole separating art from artist thing
November 15, 2025 at 2:27 PM
oh my...Margin Call is worth it just for Jeremy Irons eating everyone alive - it's up there with The Big Short as far as modern financial movies go

it's not for everyone but they're pros and know what they're doing - the complainants will mostly be cheering it on when their own faves are doing similar soon (last year they hated Jack Perry taking an unprotected chair shot but loved Drew McIntyre having his head stoved in with a toolbox!)
November 15, 2025 at 11:48 AM
each to their own innit - Toni Storm literally clutching pearls too haha - the men's one was very, 'this is fine, this is fine...' and then Moxley arrived ready for dinner🍴
November 15, 2025 at 12:47 AM
this is indeed a bad turtle, but yeah, AI never could lol
November 14, 2025 at 3:51 PM
I appreciate this wasn't a request for everyone to tell you what might have been better lol

there were rent controls and a ready supply of council housing (mid 70s was the peak for council tenancy)
November 14, 2025 at 12:21 PM
I might need to listen because I didn't realise there were so many questions around the case
November 14, 2025 at 12:13 AM
just saw this and thought I recognised the name so searched and omg, this is one of the first big local news things I vaguely remember as a kid because it was down the road from us

lapland
November 13, 2025 at 8:40 PM
'I'm Skye Blue!'
November 13, 2025 at 4:51 PM
not seen that but he has a lot going on, feel he could do good guy, bad guy, whatever with ease...Vivian Oparah was brilliant too, they struck gold with that pairing
November 13, 2025 at 4:45 PM
oh yeah, the restaurant scene early on really sets the humour tone perfectly...all the back and forth dialogue in general throughout feels natural, and also it knows when to wrap it up; no over-extended moping around or will they/won't they finale, just perfectly paced
November 13, 2025 at 4:37 PM
and in the post match closing shots did they tease Danny Garcia marching towards a stricken Moxley to do bad things before reconsidering
November 13, 2025 at 4:31 PM
gave it a straight 4 out of 5, ridiculously funny in parts like no big budget superstar rom-com
