Just this guy.
In boring news, I am boringly excited scored because I’ve got a new light on my bike. I didn’t like the old light. I am looking forward to riding home with the new light. I hope it is better. #boring.

The litigation letter is weak, but his underlying practical position is not weak

The heady smell of burning dust as the electric heater in my office is switched on for the first time in months.

Ugh. I support charity. But radio stations building their output for a week around really depressing stories is not good listening. Twiddling the dial and moving on.

Barely more than a week ago The Times published an interview with the wrong Bill De Blasio slagging off Mamdani. It is about a serious error as one can get. The editor of The Times has not resigned and there isn't a campaign for him to do so.

I think this is the thing, isn't it? It's hard to watch the constant coverage of "small boats" leading the news, or the 'we're going across live to hear what Nigel Farage has to say' and believe that BBC News is being run by a bunch of lefties
Once every 20 years or so, the director-general of the BBC is forced to resign for being insufficiently rightwing. Alastair Milne in 1987. Greg Dyke in 2004. Tim Davie in 2025. The great irony is that the BBC was in all cases profoundly biased towards established power. But just not biased enough …

Happy birthday to Sesame Street, which began exactly 56 years ago on the NET network. Possibly the most important programme ever created by American television.

Such trippy pre-titles. It really is a product of the late sixties.

Quite enjoyed Bullseye. Curiously, the Bendy Bully at the end was REALLY tatty. Like the Wood family had a job-lot left over from 1989 and really want the garage emptying.

Toothbrushes as a prize! On prime time ITV! Not even electric ones! #bullseye

I like that the contestants in the revived Bullseye have committed to giant colourful 1980s glasses.

Don’t think much of what they’ve done to Jonny 5.

Seems weird ITV having two game shows in a row in which the contestants are not celebrities. It is a good thing.

Could’ve commissioned a proper title sequence. Even Challenge went to the trouble of adding Dave Spikey over Jim in their run. #bullseye

Bullseye isn’t being preceded or followed by Highway? Tsk.

On the flip side of things - it wasn’t only the BBC who used that edit of “fight like hell”. It was used all over the place. Saw it on US shows as well.
November 9, 2025 at 7:17 PM
Well, thank god he’s gone. The BBC became horribly right-wing under his rule.

This is how transphobia's right wing fuckery blew open basic respect in the UK, there is absolutely no reason to expect now that being "women critical" is not also a protected belief, if you truly do not believe that women should just be reproductive slaves for cis men.

This will be used to abuse.
