oh my god, he's implementing tenant-friendly policies??? oh my god. are the landlords okay? do they need a hug and a glass of milk??
In a city packed with mighty real estate titans, they are the small ones.

New York landlords say they are at their breaking point as Mayor Zohran Mamdani begins to implement even more aggressive tenant-friendly policies.
NYC’s small landlords say they won’t survive Mamdani plan to freeze rent
New York Mayor Zohran Mamdani has criticized landlords and vowed to freeze what tenants in rent-stabilized apartments pay monthly.

Incredibly powerful
Highlighting the speaker who stood in front of the Surprise mayor and told him to consider what the Mayor of Ohrdruf must’ve thought before he died by suicide: “He might have thought ‘how is this my fault I had no jurisdiction over this’ maybe he said ‘this site was not subject to local zoning.’”

If many people hold a left-wing opinion they are a mob and should be ignored; if few people hold a left wing opinion they are fringe and should be ignored. The substance or correctness of the opinion is irrelevant. This is the reactionary centrist credo bsky.app/profile/eliv...

I was a White House ethics lawyer.

I used to advise people not to even accept a free cup of coffee from someone who had interests before them. And staff followed those rules.

I can’t even find the words to describe the scale of Trump’s corruption here.
Foreign countries are bribing our president to sell out the American people.

Trump family businesses made $187 MILLION from this deal, and just months later he gave the UAE some of our most top-secret AI tech.

They are selling our national security to the highest bidder.

I interviewed over half a dozen ICE and Border Patrol agents who describe an agency that sounds like Reno 911!

“I thought federal agents were supposed to be clean cut but some of them pass around a flask as we are watching a suspect,” one told me:

Apologies for yet another Irish Revolution comparison: the Irish population was very much opposed to the Easter Rising in 1916 because downtown Dublin was destroyed for, seemingly, no purpose. Until the British executed James Connolly as he was dying of gangrene. He was strapped to a chair and shot.
There's another way to look at this. ICE is doing everything the military manual tells you not to do to civilian populations because it creates insurgencies where none existed before.

Article V was only ever triggered one time and it was to help the US. Trump is literally allergic to saying true things.
Trump on NATO: "I've always said, will they be there if we ever needed them? That's really the ultimate test. I'm not sure of that. We've never needed them. They'll say they sent some troops to Afghanistan and this or that. And they did. They stayed a little back, off the front lines."

You can very clearly see why someone whose job it is to protect war criminals would need this pulled from the airwaves: It’s visible proof the Trump administration is operating concentration camps.

Every day, Trump reveals new depths of vileness.
Trump posts about Rob Reiner’s death, saying he had a “mind crippling disease known as TRUMP DERANGEMENT SYNDROME.” This comes just hours after Reiner was stabbed to death.

Now they appear to be running the same playbook on Venezuela.
