ADHD means there will be no rhyme nor reason to my content.

Mostly posting about mundane home life but as the antithesis of Trad Wife bullshit.
I have baked Anger Bread and Chocolate Cake. If I have power tomorrow, I may go for some really fancy shit.

Today I'm following @mostlybree.kitrocha.com and @diane.dianeduane.com 's excellent examples and will be baking bread.

And probably chocolate cake.

There are three:

King of the Wind
The Witch of Blackbird Pond
A Wrinkle In Time

I still re-read the latter two every few years.
What is "your" Newbery book? The one you read when you were little (or not so little), and took into your soul?

Mine's The Perilous Gard.

It's okay to mute the horrors.

I mean, I suppose fun is one word for it, but yeah. This. The cognitive dissonance from *waves hands* All That is so fucking disconcerting.
The double cognitive load of a) the President is deranged, and nobody in power acting he's deranged is stressful, and b) there are millions of Americans who get their news from media sanewashing the President, so they don't *know* he's deranged, so they think *we're* deranged, is ... fun.

I have seen people dropping hints of their fiber crafts, and I want them ALL.

But honestly, the consultations and private lessons are my fav.

Hey you! Are you a TTRPG writer staring at discourse on bluesky??? Would you rather be writing for a game? I want to pay you (at $0.20/word) to write for a zine month project!

I'm seeking folks interested in folk stories and examining power structures in storytelling!

It's (official) book release day! Come pick up INSIDE THREAT, the sixth Rachel Peng book! This book might be haunted, but in a way of my own making which doesn't transfer at ownership.

I am coming to the conclusion that YouTube thinks I am a 30 year old, single white dude.

It's very weird. Guys? Are you okay? Cause these ads are terrible!

It's been a week.

Let's talk comfort food, and the recipe I'm making tonight.

Recipe: Thing

Thing is glorified hamburger helper that s comes from when we couldn't afford to buy hamburger helper. It is cheesy, delicious, fairly easy to convert to vegetarian, and can be made cheaply if desired.

SAME

Like, do I have a clue what's happening/going to happen? No.

Do I think it's Very Very Bad? Oooh, yeah.
I don’t understand a quarter of what’s going on in the news except to feel pretty confident that it’s Bad™️

Breville Air Fryer/Toaster/Combo is great.

Instapot, my beloved.

I keep eyeing a rice cooker but haven't yet committed the counterspace.
/This/ is the Discourse I want to see on social media!

For me, electric kettle and rice cooker (though it should be called an oatmeal cooker, considering what grain I use it for most often). Honorable mention to the toaster oven.
Everybody has two kitchen appliances that will change their life. The problem is, they're different for everybody.

I suspect it won't be as utterly WEIRD as the original, but I'm hopeful!
Tentatively willing to believe Seth Rogan isn't the guy who'll screw this up.

Watching Culinary Class Wars, and I really have to shout out the production/tech crew for their excellent work.

The camera crew is exquisite; the sets are stunning, and the composer did such a fantastic job. Seriously amazing jobs, everyone.

The Country Bunny and the Little Golden Shoes
Ok, everyone, what book is sacred enough to you to get sworn in on?
Strange takes on Mayor Zamdani swearing his oath on the Qu’ran. It has nothing to do with church & state. The point of the oath is for the person swearing in to do so upon some text that is sacred TO THEM. Some Presidents swore in w/o any book. John Quincy Adams was sworn on a law book. His choice.

AT&T not currently covering themselves in glory in our current outage scenario.

We've gone from 11:00am to 3:00pm to...
¯\_ (ツ)_/¯

Somewhere in there they sent a dude to my house to try and upsell me phone service on the pretense of saying when service would be restored. (A time they missed)
