Starting pitchers with two pitch types with at least a 40% whiff rate each, 2025 (min 150 swings):

Edward Cabrera: curve 45.2%, slider 43.7%

That’s it.

Owen Caissie is No. 91 on the forthcoming BP 101 but in full disclosure I argued pretty strenuously to drop him entirely. He's a good prospect but this is very much a situation where his name value (between the system, Darvish trade, and hanging around t100s for so long) exceeds his current value

The anticipation is killing me—I can’t wait to see which impact free agent the #Cubs next don’t sign.

A reminder that President Obama spent Christmas Eve as President with children at hospitals.

The orange felon will spend the holidays with corrupt billionaires and immoral loyalists friends at his crime hub Mar-a-Lago at taxpayer expense.

There’s a huge difference.

Ah, yes. It’s called “keeping our powder dry.” A Cubbie classic. Uttered every year. In fact, I’d be surprised if the #Cubs business guy hasn’t tried to trademark the phrase.
We’ve gone from “I will simply buy every good player because I am rich and that’s what I want to do” to “well you aren’t taking into account the cost of waiver wire moves and minor-league salaries.”

Story thread-
When Rob Reiner was on his all-time epic run at the start of his career, he had an opportunity to read a script that was looking for a production partner, and he lost his mind for it. He decided Castle Rock had to have it, no matter what.

Happy Birthday to HOFer Fergie Jenkins!

I absolutely love this shot - Fergie in classic Cub pinstripes, bear cub patch, Wrigley Field ivy in the background, and the fans holding all those glorious Otis Shepard illustrated scorecards!

I just can't bring myself to be upset about one of the most corrupt and evil organizations sucking up to a political strongman. My expectations for FIFA are neck and neck with the IOC for the floor, they just can't surprise or disappoint me anymore.

The negative environmental impact of AI use alone is enough to never use it. Most of us have issues with it destroying everything. Its also theft. Its dumbing down the population so quickly. Most of us are critical because of real issues.

Wasn’t that entertaining.
The Sabres responded to an embarrassing loss to the Flames with a blowout win over the Blackhawks. The real test, though, is how they respond to this win. That and other thoughts on an entertaining night of hockey in Buffalo
Sabres bounce back with blowout win over Blackhawks. How will they respond now?
The Sabres helped themselves with 9-3 drubbing of the Blackhawks, but the challenge now for them is handling it the right way.

"Sir, did you just abuse and insult a journalist for asking a question? And did you publicly call a woman a piggie? Is this the way a U.S. President behaves?"

A reporter who so spoke loses WH credentials, maybe his job if his agency is gutless. But absent such, the entire WHPC is without honor.
