That’s the ten! Thank you for remembering some Jays with me.
Is it bad that I broadcast every game the Blue Jays played from 2010-2019 and I'm having trouble with this?

Is Rios in there? Rajai? Russ tied for 10th? YEscobar?

Alright folks, trivia time.

Tell me the top 10 Toronto Blue Jays in runs scored in the 2010s.

(2010-2019, in case anyone is being overly pedantic.)

You know, they really might have had something with that Wile E. Coyote character, but alas, his early demise was incontrovertible.

Damn, dudes. This Hall of Fame ceremony was way more of a commitment than I was prepared for.

There’s a part of me that wants to be indignant about any piece that doesn’t strenuously push King Carlos’ HoF candidacy. But this Jaffe missive was about as nice a way to be let down as possible. Fair, and makes some arguments that could push Delgado right up to the line.
new @fangraphs.com: Carlos Delgado went one-and-done on the 2015 ballot. Despite his 473 homers, he doesn't stack up well in WAR/JAWS, but his willingness to speak out against injustice makes him one of the most interesting HOF candidates I've covered.

Resign it then and leave thine insolence.
Since thou wert king—as who is king but thou?—
The commonwealth hath daily run to wrack,
The Dauphin hath prevail’d beyond the seas,
And all the peers and nobles of the realm
Have been as bondmen to thy sovereignty.

Being on day 12 or so of being sick and slowly recovering, but using every ounce of energy you have for the day to get your blessed child out the door in the morning.

I’d groan but I popped something in my ribs over the weekend mid-cough, and it hurts to make sounds or breathe or think.

I’ve been sick since Friday, so processing everything through a lens of barking coughs and snot rags and cough syrup fogginess.

What is surprising me is how I’m not yet close to being at peace with it. With the passing hours, the sting gets a little worse.

This one is gonna leave a mark.

Kirby Yates took the Blue Jays money and then limped away for a whole season. He deserves no joy.
Interviewing Kirby Yates is taking the piss.

I’ve carried some baseball heartache around for decades, so I’m reasonably sure that I’ll go to my grave believing the 2025 Blue Jays deserved to win.

All I hope is that sometime between now and then, there’s another moment that helps assuage that pain.
